Mixing Rugby league type of laterals into grid iron is so bloody fun, we call them off-loads in Rugby and playing this type of backyard gridiron is crazy fun, I encourage this type of play, instead of heading down field for blocks, how about draw and pass laterally and watch what happens Edit: I was that kid that thought he was Troy Polamalu every lunch or recess 🤣

We played a game called pickle ball. Which was basically full contact 7 on 7 (or however many showed up to play) the ball was always live and you could throw unlimited forward passes anywhere on the field. Damn some of the most fun I've ever had. I was the kid who thought he was Brett Favre haha

The incorporation of rugby techniques is the last frontier for football and that last play is exemplary of this philosophy. Being able to effectively improvise in a game so set in stone could wreak havoc if done correctly. Being able to incorporate it into the game at a higher level from a game speed standpoint may be tough but the dual threat QB has made its mark in the NFL so why not some improvisation?

we had the “penis play. 2 WR on a fly lined up on either side of the qb, one TE and one RB running “curls” or circles close by and usually it’d end in a touchdown on the fly cuz we had this one fast kid that just burnt every db or we’d drop it off close to a RB and they’d run like forest gump…
