Tip: it's much easier to line up the design correctly if you put the printed design down on the table and then place the item (wood board, etc) on top of it .. and then tape it on. This way you can see exactly where the edges are.

Great video! I finally got around to learning about using lamination to sublimate. No other videos were as detailed and also yours seemed to be the only one to mention which side of the sheet to put down. Followed your instructions and made my first gift tag. Came out perfectly. Thanks so much!!

So I just stumbled upon this the other day. Your video has made this look so amazingly simple to follow. I love how you explain everything. I was ready to do this on my own but didn't realize I had ran out of sublimation ink. I am waiting on that to come in. Once I get it though, I am tackling this because with your instructions I have a little more faith in myself. I had seen another video on how to do this before and tried it but it didn't turn out well and I gave up. Your video is much more clearer. Thank you for this being out there on the internet. I did subscribe. I will go back and look and see what else you have out there. I hope that you have posted more things that I can learn from.

@kristinmonteiro2711 Жыл бұрын
So I bought the sublimation paper don’t waste your time buying unless you have the same heat press cause I try using my cricut mini press and it didn’t work for the paper. But the thermal laminate paper dose work on the wood . So I just used a white iron paper for tshirt and did the job
@TheWesleys Жыл бұрын
Hey! Definitely recommend having a press! The Cricut hand held mini is no where enough pressure for sublimation. Some ppl do use the other Cricut press but just better to grab a clam or shell press esp for this wood.

I will try today, I was looking for how sublimate on wood.
@TheWesleys2 жыл бұрын
The laminate and sub process is pretty simple. I also have another video sublimating wood with polycrylic. I would prob skip the white paint part and do just the coat of polycrylic from Lowes or online. :) Here’s the tray I did : kzbin.info/www/bejne/jajYcmuBoNh0nKc

Have you had any problems with delamination ? I've been trying this onto vinyl but the laminate is easy to peel off after sublimating the image.
@aerosoulzx2 жыл бұрын
It's a fun thing to try, but I'd personally never use it for anything I intend to sell to a customer, because of that exact reason. A liquid polyester coating binds to the surface better, whilst a laminating pouch is quite thick and is effectively a single solid layer - the minute one part delaminates, all of it will.

Hello, every time I've tried to use the laminating sheets, they just peel off of the "object" I am trying to stick it to. Any suggestions? Thank you!!!
