Hey! Thanks for presenting my Hatzegopteryx! I'm taking some notes to improve it, I will reduce the spawn rate and fix the instant stam regen etc. There should be a landing animation but it seems it doesn't work, I will look at that too! Also, the lvl up animation is inspired by storks, they do this movement when they are happy!

Your design is great, both the creature and the saddle, to be a powerful and huge creature, I also think it should have a spawn as rare as that of the giganoto or the carcha, that would compensate a lot for the damage, the animations are a little rough but They can improve, very good job! 💪

I appreciate your mod reviews. Your channel is so frekaing underrated. You aren't annoying, you don't always stay super on track and immediately get to the point (bonus point for that cause you actually make taming vids entertaining to watch don't ever stop getting distracted by funny stuff happening in the background i love it!), the most important thing is that you don't lie, don't speak half truths just to make a quick video and get views, every time you release a video i watch it cause i know ill be informed properly and have a great time watching it. I appreciate tutorials greatly but sometimes they're a bit dry - I have a lot of fun showing off the silly mistakes or distractions because when I watch them in others, they feel more relatable and real. The way the head droops reminds me of a REALLY old monster movie called "The claw" about a giant bird, and all we see of it for most of the film is it's head that hangs down below it, just like that.

14:50 Yes, the White Stork does that exact thing! Often as a mating dance. Even if pterosuars aren't dinosaurs like storks are, I could see them doing something like this. And I think the flying and walking animations are a bit stiff/janky, I get this is their second mod and hope to see them grow and improve with time! Can never have enough modders~!

It looks cool as hell when it’s on the ground. It hits like a truck which is cool for a flier. My only complaint is about how its head/neck are while flying.

I think the weird head position works better when it's holding something then when it's not. When it's holding something it looks like it's being dragged down by the weight. When not its neck just looks broken.

The creature is cool, the idea is cool, just some minor animation upgrades. Also, maybe make its attack slower, because a creature that big cant possibly move that fast. Also maybe add a less subtle landing animation, an improved walk and fly animation. Just some simple toutch ups, and this, in my opinion can be a really impressive creature. Not to say that is already isnt, definitely better than i could do.

Honestly, way too strong for me - I’ve been pretty vocal about not liking super strong creatures that overshadow the rest of the game. BUT it’s a gorgeous creature with fantastic animations. The head tilt is something several stork species that I have worked with did, and the beak clacking makes perfect sense for an animal like that. I actually like the way it hangs it’s head as it flies, and a creature like this should be menacing and terrifying - just maybe not strong enough to chew through wyverns and rexes like tissue paper. Still, when PaleoArk rolls around it might fit more naturally into the top of the food chain. I’ll have to check it out again when PaleoArk fully drops. But even with WITH my distaste for crazy powerful creatures, I give this a 9 out of 10. I hope Xyphias is proud of themself and keeps making mods. Thanks for covering this, Becca. im so late in seeing this but I honestly love this, the Quetzal is my fav creature in the game but its just a crudy pack-mule despite it being such a massive powerhouse predator, i realy hope the mod keeps getting work since i would love to see this creatures features expanded, from the fossil records and bone structure they think this creature and the Quetzal where more ground based only flying short distances for travel and scavenging but not hunting and i just love that image.

Hey! Yes Xyphias is currently working on a full TLC for this Hatz, both visuals and I think mechanics Paleo ARK are also planning to completely overhaul the Quetzal, too. Where as I will soon be working on the Hatz model for another modding team So you'll soon have lots of options :D

Yeah an azhdarcid couldn't bend it's neck remotely like either the level up or flight position I do think the flapping animation needs work

Do you have a source on the neck flexibility of azdarchidae? I’m interested, I want to know what their actual flexibility was. White storks bend their heads backwards, but pterosaurs aren’t dinosaurs anyways so basing too much of their movement off of birds isn’t ideal

For a first time big project he did pretty well, id definitely say improvements to be asked for is the less wobble and maybe a swallow attack that after a hit or so you can swallow the creature which would be cool

There is a swallow attack, but the creature needs to be under the Hatzeg level and have a drag weight under 200

yeeah with the spawn rates, grabbing hitboxes aswell as the collision hitboxes looking like that, this loveable dorito vulture probably wouldnt be all that worth getting.. taming an argy would be hell on earth, and they could probably just enter your house if they can escape a sealed shut trap. despite all, this is a really solid model with a nice amount of features included, and on the floor it genuinely looks imposing and awesome. an amazing result for a first time big project if you ask me, and I bet itll improve like crazy given enough time.

For a second mod it's surprisingly well made, it's pretty balanced (except for maybe requiring so many gigas hearts and wyvern milk but tbf it hits HARD so maybe not but probably should be nerfed at least a bit cause like god damn, although I guess it's probably designed for SP alone as it seems extremely convenient) and has full unique animations and everything

It's quite refreshing when the lack of balancing is due to something being TOO hard to obtain, and not too easy/too strong! But I believe Xyphia is going to address it. They also plan to TLC this in a few months once they get more proficient at making dinos :D so the future for the Hatz looks good!

One thing I've wanted but never found as a mod is a Roc. For game sake make it quetz/wyvern sized maybe only slightly bigger, maybe. I would make it pick up anything except things like bronto, brachi, and giga. It would be a straight up murder machine. It would have decent enough weight but nothing super special, at most maybe make it the best hide harvester and have a small weight reduction on hide.

This thing is truly awesome. It is everything I wish the the Quetzal would be. However, I am experiencing a couple issues with this thing. 1st of all is the clacking. It's a really cool sound and I like it, however it sounds like It's constantly in my ear even when I am super far away from it. The sound only stops when I exit render distance and continues when I re-enter render distance. 2nd thing is the mute feature. Whenever I mute the clacking sound, the Hatzego just goes into a t pose with no movements or animations at all even when flying. Dunno if this is a personal issue on my end or if others are experiencing this, but it is still a magnificent creature none the less.

Oh that t-pose is strange, that might have been a result of the recent Aberration patch (it broke a lot of creature mods in unexpected ways) However, good news! There's a full on TLC arriving for the Hatzegopteryx, so I would hope that the sound issues especially will get addressed then ^^ I'm not sure when the TLC is arriving, but I do know Xyphia has the creature programmed in kit and I thiiinnnkkk is in the final stages of developing it now

That taming food is ridiculous and the head low flying pose is derpy looking as all hell. The fact the level 5 one hit for nearly 200 on your saddled Wyvern is nuts. It's damage overall is just too OP. He needs to slow down the leveling animation. It acts like a giant Shoebill which is probably intentional. It's basically a flying Giga.

In the first 2 min I talk about what you need to prepare before taming one; the extensive saddle and food costs, the level requirements, where they spawn, and that it's a giant scary flyer. So I'm not sure what you're on about. Unless you're expecting an extremely dry and rushed tutorial, in which case, I'd recommend searching other videos
