Even the Doshaguma have unique attacks that throw me off, it's kind of amazing to see how the lowest rank of monsters are so unique and have personalities to them. I'm really looking forward to the full release, and seeing all of the higher tier monsters they lovingly crafted and recreated for this game.

Doshaguma’s hunt kinda reminds me base Nergigante’s, when he reaches a certain health percentage. He goes into a second phase where Doshaguma’s moves become even more ferocious and are able to tear up the ground, along with longer combos

I can see that, Doshaguma is so cool. It's like a Sharpei Bear Lion that is the size of an Elephant.

Rey Dau especially is super cool. The fact that he’s basically a living lightning rod is such a fresh take on the “lightning” monsters. The other ones like Kirin or Namielle pretty much use magic, but Rey Dau actually feels like it adapted to its environment, which is more interesting imo.

To be fair Namielle is based on a jellyfish so it would have organs for that 😅 kirin uses “magic” because it’s horn has idk specific properties which Rajang seem to like

I think the Black Flame should be part of a "kraken" category, maybe reclassify Nakarkos & Yama Tsukami into said category.

I have heard that they've said its already in a better state than the beta was, by how much I don't know but they clearly do need to work on it. I mean I had to upgrade my VRAM cause I did not have nearly enough for even the lowest setting.

@@viporiox555 Except not at all. Balahara is so far the most perfect iteration of a sand swimming/digging monster.

I just like Balahara, because he looks eerily cool and I like his gameplay. Lagiacrus may be my favorite Leviathan, but until he gets an upgrade. Violet Mizutsune and Balahara are my most liked Leviathans currently.

I honestly cant for 28th of feb and the full release of wilds. I cant wait to find out more about the story and every trailer they show us makes me want to know more

I think another important point is niche and roaster bloat, some monsters are just too good at what they do to be replaced, for example if you try to make a stealthy ambush predator of the forest youl end up just making a poor copy of nargacuga so why not just bring back nargacuga? There's also issues around monsters having the same niche for example Khezu and gigginox fight each other for the niche of creepy cave wyvern, now in concept that isn't bad as the 2 of them can swap in and out to ceep things fresh but long term it isn't a good design philosophy to fill the name niches over and over cuz that way more monsters end up being one game flashes in the pan and forgot about, so the key to getting new monsters is to ask for new environment to put thr new monsters in cuz the classic niche map, desert, forest, volcano and ice maps niches are getting quite full, it's acutaly way I love the oilwell basin, it's a volcano map but it's putting a new spin on it that won't result in the same rock eater, lava swimming, elder dragon niches needing to be filled

My favorite is 100% RA DAW it’s my favorite monster in the entire series before it came out. I was like I kinda like this monster but also this one but yeah.
