@upclosenpersonal1002 жыл бұрын
@@cmnyct3654 Mobb Deep said "you better off bucking yourself, u need to stop fronting" in 1995 too (SOURCE: The Start Of your Ending). Way before any of their rap beefs making those quotes entirely unrelated to anybody, Eyes May Shine Remix was a Mobb Deep tribute & Mobb's verses was even recycled for other tracks of theirs.

In actuality Pac didn't diss him considering All Eyez On Me came out in Feb. 1996 whereas Xzibit's Paparazzi came out in May 1996. The diss was really from EDI on Bomb First off the Makaveli album.

I was interning at Loud Records in L.A. on melrose When Xzibit got signed and was working on Paparazzi. First Xzibit is a helluva good dude from my interactions with him. Always said what’s up even when I saw him outside the office and he didn’t have to say a thing to a lowly intern. Anyway though from the second he brought in that E-Swift beat, then they added the lyrics, you knew paparazzi was going to be a hit And Xzibits album was going to be 🔥. I know for a fact though Xzibit wouldn’t have dissed pac at all especially during that time in L.A. because PAC had everyone on his back and west coast rappers did appreciate that.

If you put aside Tupac's once in a generation talent, you realize he was extremely toxic to the rest of the Hip Hop scene and refused to share a throne or kingdom with any other contemporary alpha rapper like Biggie, Nas, DMX, Jay-Z, etc and the rise of Eminem was only possible because Tupac died.

I have to agree. Pac was always catching feelings always paranoid. Was always thinking everyone is his enemy and out to plot against him. He was willing to diss everyone in the rap game. He had too many people whispering in his ear. Yet, he actually never seemed to go to retaliate against the Haitian Jack & his goons in NY who tried to kill him. Its like he got run out of NY

I remember hearing about this back in 2002...before that i use to wonder why E.d.i. said that line in Bomb First..i mean it's not an outright diss but it kinda felt like there was some tension there..cool hearing about it again...X is underappreciated and hardly ever mentioned in list of greatest mcs but X was a monster on the mic and that line in Paparazzi even me back then only being 12 in 97 i knew what u meant by that line and I'm sure e.d.i. knew as well..im with u on that to this day man Respect is what's most important to me..I'll always appreciate it bruh..this situation especially cuz of the whole east west shit is a little understandable...it reminds me of how Pac make amends with Nas before he died

Yea but wasn’t good at dissecting lyrics. Xzibit wasn’t even talking about him. That’s like Pac dissed at Nas because of the song The Message where Nas said “Fake thug, no love, you get the slug, CB4 Gusto Your luck low, I didn't know 'til I was drunk though”.
