Dear sir. Does the fitting way of Kimono differ from each other depending on the city or region in Japan ? ? ? Today, you tried Nagoya Obi on . As far as I know Nagoya is a name of one of the big cities in Japan. ! ! !

A nagoya obi is a kind of obi, which is shorter than a regular fukuro obi, to be used to make single layered otaiko musubi. (not an obi dressed in City of Nagoya) Another difference is that one end of obi ( is called "te") is foled in half and is sewed together and that the other end (is called "tare" ) is in full width. A fukuro obi is longer so that you can make double layered otaiko musubi. PS: Beniko-san is a woman, so you should use a respectful term for her, "Madam" or "Ma'am" is appropriate.

Yoko Nishida You can use “sir” for female as well nowadays ^^ No gender discrimination! However, it used to be an insult back then.

It was just invented in Nagoya area before as a simplified Fukuro-obi. (Fukuro-obi is already the simplified ver. of Maru-obi) So you can use them anywhere.

Thank you sir. It seems that the more I watch your channel the more I am interested in kimono fashion and Today I was also surprised at the fact that Kimono can be coordinated in accordance with one's body size. ! ! !
