I have been following this Indian scholar for years. He’s a very good scholar in my opinion. His analyses were based on facts. I like his objective attitude towards world affairs.

LOL, I hope this brave, intelligent Indian scholar will still be able to walk in Indian land as usual, after all Indian officials have publicly declared that India is the mother of democracy.
The guy is intelligent and courageous. I wish all countries have such kind of scholars who criticize their own countries in a honest and constructive way.
Mr.Jayant Bhandari is putting his life for speaking so honestly. He is indeed a brave man.

Thank you for your sharing. It is natural to worry about the potential risks to Mr. Jayant Bhandari's personal safety resulting from his candid discussions of Indian politics and economics, yet fostering an environment where diverse perspectives are shared and respected can contribute to a more harmonious and more productive society.

Couldn't agree more. I go to India every year for businesses. The country is so inefficient at every level. The workload of 1 person is typically split into serval jobs, from hotel room cleaner to government functionalities😅

WOW, it’s so refreshing to hear a caring voice to speak the issues without hesitation. If only everyone, every leader in the world has the integrity, courage, intelligence of this man, to see things as it is. Acknowledging the problems, stepping up to the challenge, working together to achieve the goals, best for everyone, stop the insecurity, jealousy, hatred, greed. Allowing ourselves to better education, open our hearts and our minds to different cultures, except that we are all in this together. After all, we all want the same happiness, joy, good health , wealth , friends and family to share our stories.

I would say it like this -- electoral politics in a democracy actually doesn't serve the people -- the big money involved and insecurity causes the result of division and hate being used as a way to finance their political campaigns. This is why I'm for the Chinese one party system. I live in the USA and I was born in Taiwan. I understand the importance of identifying the problems in my own countries in order to find the right solutions.
If half of Indian politician and think tank like this guy mindset a realist and pragmatic. Indian will not have hard time to fix the problem. Sure India will be rich, but where are the wealth are concentrated, that's the concern.
Thank you for this informative video about India. Anyway hopefully India continues to progress in the new year 2024 and beyond.

Indian problem has been comparing itself with China. China progress itself without looking at India, because India wasn't it target, it simply progress passed it and still going. It's a sad reality that 800 million Indians still waiting for free food handouts from the India government on a daily basis, the West are celebrating the democracy and freedom to ensure that the Indian stays at this position and level therefore no there won't be a national security threats?????

You know, by and large, what the difference is between China and India? India is obsessed in comparing herself to China (at least in Indian and Western MSM), while China just kept her head down and focused on doing the work. Just do what you have to do, India, let the numbers speak for themselves.

As a Chinese, I don't understand why Indians have to compare everything with China
@timothychung481110 ай бұрын
@@BoluoGao Simple, it is a inferiority complex issue that Indians, as a whole, must revert. The China comparison is SHAME, for both nations are equal in population, equally destitute back in 1979. The only difference was that China reformed 10 years ahead of India, but they pulled ahead of India by, at least, 30 years in advance. India may have 3.4 trillion GDP in 2022, but that is still 3RD WOLRD poverty achievements for that population.
I really appreciate India scholar, his insides to the India current problems are well stated. India and China shall be friends and work together. I hope India leadership will change. We wish India catching up quickly.

When folks living in US or other parts of the world aske me about India, I ask this simple question to them as well. Please tell me what Indian made product you or others use and they go quiet and thats the general answer.
Lies and bluffing, are made naturally from India. No hard feeling, this is truly what I felt after these years. Of cos, there are ones are genuine and naive, but not that many.

If India wants to catch up with China, it must change. Infrastructure, education, business, caste, religion, ethnic conflicts, and conflicts between states all need to be eased. Only then will we have the opportunity to catch up with China. It is basically impossible to surpass China. China and India have almost the same population, so it is not easy to create an advantage.
