This was me but with English classes. I was born in Venezuela but now I live in Argentina. And my friends (in the school that I'm now) sometimes call me "The pet of the English Teacher" and it was kinda true because most of the time the teachers asked me to help my classmates with their pronunciation, help them with certain stuff of higher classes (they actually admitted I was their best student) or we just talked in the teachers lounge (I was the only student allowed) this was mostly with the last two. The first one (from my old school) was really mean with me, because she always told me to stay quiet so my other classmates could respond to the questions but she actually never knew how good I was. One day this teacher started asking about a subject that we had seen the other day and nobody was answering. So she stated that we were her worst class, that was my last straw. I started repeating and replaying to the questions she asked (20 questions...Now I get why she was scared of me) and I actually went overboard because I being to read a book that i had in my phone out loud. She was impressed and (I guess) with her pride on the floor. And to make it better she said "How.... you remembered everything I said?" To which I replied "I'm gonna admit I have a scary memory" I actually just wrote them down and after that she never told me to stay quiet. But I continued just to mock her.

Honestly, I never knew what my actual mother language was like when I was 5-6 years old. So it kind of made sense I couldn’t hear properly, or know what people are saying. But there’s one catch, I’m actually great when it comes to speaking in English. So the kids my grade at the moment didn’t like me that much because they didn’t know English that well, and because of my inability to speak in my mother’s tongue at the moment quite ruined it. I do remember this one time when some of my friends decided to ditch me because of that, which is ironic because they can speak English well. I also remember being hated on for being “immature” and a “crybaby” (I was, yes, but we were 6, so of course I was immature) Basically, the teachers also got annoyed by my crying and stuff so I guess I can say this is me when I was in 4th grade while I’m trying to mind my own business lmao This paragraph is getting long so I’ll stop here, have a good day I guess

I was like this when I was little, When I was in kindergarten, I already knew the materials or subjects that they were teaching, i also understand quickly what they were teaching, and so, it was easier for me to answer the questions, I liked school, and liked learning math, English, science, etc, but because people like to pick on me, and say I'm a "now it all" I became afraid of answering questions because I was afraid of being mocked, I was told that I shouldn't answer all the questions, cause it would just make me a "now it all" And annoying, so I didn't, and by grade 5, I burnout, I'm still smart, and my grades are still good, but I just don't have the motivation unlike when I was grade 1,2,3 or 4 🤷♀️. Storytime: During Kindergarten up to 3rd grade, I was like this. Top of my class. I was horrible at filipino subjects while I was excelling in English, Math and Science. English was a subject I learned and a talent I naturally got from watching english shows, like Peppa Pig. Science was more onto the reading type. I was always curious and interested in everything. We had a power outage and I asked about the generator that led onto how it works and what is powered to use it, gasoline, then asked where it came from. Math. Most people hate math and I used to disagree. There is something called MTAP in my school which is basically math challenges of sorts. In 1st to 3rd grade, me and 2 of my friends who I met in Kindergarten were the 3 who represented our grade in our school when challenging others. You could say I was the Carry. I gained 75% of the points and we were always first. And I mean A L W A Y S. Sadly the final part of MTAP of 3rd grade was cancelled due to Quarantine. Ever since then, Many things changed. One of my friends, Rose, transferred. I was horrible at all subjects and I was dissapointed with myself as now I barely get a passing grade and my parents aren't really helping with all these expectations. I am now 12 and It's been more than 2 years. My family loves comparing present me to old me that I just hate myself for becoming this way.

I remembered that one time in kindergarden when the teacher says "who can spell all of this words, you can go home"and i immediatly stand up from my seat and spell it.The teacher was too stuuned to speak because that word was so long for my age and nobody in my class know how to spell it except me.This happen when im 6 years old btw, when im 4&5 years old i goes to another kindergarden and when im 6,i moved to other kindergarden because of my parents money issues.Back to story, all my friend just stares at me and i creeped out like who would'nt?then the teacher says "that...correct!,you can pack you stuff and play outside while waiting for you transport to come hana..."and after i packed my bag the teacher open the door and let me outside. The door is sliding door(idk if this is how i spell it😭)and its tinted like weird ways that people inside cant see the outside but the outside people can.The teacher thought i already go to the playground inside the kindergarden area and she says "well thats the first kids that successed spelling this words in my 5 years of teaching..anyone else who can spell it?"and no one raise their hand.I was actually shocked because at my old kindergarden, everyone can spell it and here,no one can.. Ok thats a pretty long story....im just gonna leave-

Idk if it’s like this but like anytime I see it as Y/n, i just think of it as a random person, I don’t insert myself, I think y/n is slowly becoming its own character- Edit: however yes I was very smart in elementary

The thumbnail made me have like a flashback to when my teacher snatched my book out of my hand while I was reading it, like she didn't give work or tell us to do anything and just decided "Oh I'm gonna take this kids book from them for NO REASON".

That was my sister in kindergarten. i was in 1st grade and she was in kindergarten, and out daycare before, after I left they taught multiplacation and division. When I visited for a day and they gave me a piece of paper with multiplacation and my sister who is a year younger was speeding through it and finished in a minute. while I was confused on why and x was in between numbers. And my sister even asked her teacher on the first day of kindergarten asked her why they weren't doing multiplacation or division. She got boosted up to another class after a while but they were doing subtraction. And our mom the whole year was trying to get her to 3rd grade.
