Never forget too that everyone of us is just a common human being! Never look down on the less privileged in her/his life not distinguishedly marked by academic achievements. Never.
The ones that you just criticized her, there is no need for it, that was an honor for anyone can give this speech in any college/university like this. Just congratulate her.

就像偉大的德國哲學家尼采所言, “He who has a Why to Live can Bear almost any How.”

2:32 whether you picked a "stethoscope"(聽診器), a calculator or a pipette. Well, later when I listened more carefully, it might actually be what the cc auto generated subtitle presented as "a set of scope" which makes sense a little more than "a stethoscope" in her speech context. Sometimes the machine beats human. But it is definitely not a "telescope".

It's a shame about those negative comments, as this is considered a good "public speech". Unfortunately, I noticed that many people from Asia tend to be more critical than encouraging. Giving praises for encouragement seems often difficult to them, as historically that was how they were raised through many generations.
