I was born and raised in HK. With due respect, it's quite offensive to hear anyone says that our culture doesn't use polite words like 'please', 'thank you' and 'sorry' as often. These are the most frequent words in my office and among my friends and family. I'm sorry you were misled to believe that. No offense, but the low usage of those 'magic words' and the habits shown in the video (constantly correcting others, packaging criticism in jokes, publicly complaining about you to complete strangers, trying to win people to his side) all reflect an individual's upbringing, character, and the culture of his social circle only. If anyone makes you accept these on the ground of 'cultural difference', it's plain manipulation. You deserve better.
