Petra Sensei! As someone who completely forgot how to speak japanese after like a decade of not using it, this slow-paced and carefully worded japanese helped me remember some of it.

I must admit, among all the English teaching streams I've watched from various vtubers, yours truly stands out to me. It's clear you've put a lot of effort into preparation, and you've nailed the balance between making it enjoyable for the jp audience while also effectively educating in a way that's easy to understand for us. Big thanks for that! I hope you'll consider doing another stream like this in the future one day!
9:45 ~ 勉強START 15:04 ~ ENがよく使う慣用句 31:00 ~ 56:59 UNSEISO TIME(ABOUT TEN MINUTES)LOL 57:00 ~ ENがよく使うスラング 46:17 ~ UNKONOWの始まり I like TAKENOKO NO SATO better than KINOKO NO YAMA! この企画本当に助かります🙏ありがとうぺちょら先生🧡
勉強になる配信をありがとうございます🙏 ENの方が話してる内容をもっと理解にしたいと思っているので嬉しいです! 特にスラングは翻訳機にかけても直訳される事があって、結局単語単語で調べる場合が多いので為になりました。 ペトラちゃんの教え方が優しくてとってもかわいい🐧Thank you~Your glasses look good on you👓
"Based" generally means something controversial that you agree with. You call someone based if they say or do something you agree with that you also think would get a lot of pushback. I've thought about this before and this is probably the most concise definition I could come up with. It's a pretty hard word to define because it's very online slang that has had its meaning shifted a lot, but this is how I think most people use the word.

Petra senseeeei !!!! Thank you for your awesome English class!!!!😭✨ I have started watching EN liver's streams recently, so this class is so helpful to me, and surely to a lot of Japanese fans of EN livers! Could you have a class like this again if you find some idioms we should learn…?🥹

thanks for the delivery Petra sensei I've learned a new word 💩pog today
Streams like this are very helpful for those who study English like me!! I really appreciate it! I especially like the phrase of " couldn't care less". So I want someone to tell me that if I want to express the opposite emotion of that phrase like "I'm very curious about it!",can I use "couldn't care more" or something like that??
@imyeos2 жыл бұрын
"couldn't care less" means they cannot care any less than they do right now i know this is 3 weeks late, but i hope this helps! couldn't care more isn't really a phrase in English. English idioms are very weird and random
Thank you for the "EN Slang in JP 101" course today Petra! The examples and explanations in JP are really helpful (and I got to know what present participle, and adjectives are in JP) and the amount of meme-able moments in this stream made it really hilarious. I'll be sure to come back and watch this many times over and for the laughs. [This is a meme/joke review | この批評はネタ/冗談です] : この配信 "is the sh*t"! 面白すぎるから、結局私 "am losing my sh*t". 最初は "Hopcon" 英語授業の時、英語スラング勉強は "piece of cake" と思けど、やっぱり私 "not getting the hang of" ペトラ先生の "Unpog Gaslighting"。 私 "need to get my sh*t together"。 あと、私はキュウリが "unbased" のこと "couldn't care less"。
