I really love the way you explain. You understand both English and Chinese grammars well, and you can explain Chinese into such a simple English grammar. This skill is lacking in many Chinese teachers that I have or had.

Thanks for your care and efforts. Feedback: without the background music it would be better, it's just distracting.

I thought 有一点 has a slight negative conotation, like "that dish is a little too spicy" or "I drank a little too much beer". So 我有一点喜欢... doesn't make sense to me unless you're saying it's a bad thing, like you shouldn't be going to that coffee shop so often.

我有一点喜欢那个咖啡店 could imply that you like the coffee shop, but not as much as other shops. The negation is not definitely on the object.

I’m a bit confused. In 现代汉语词典 theres an entry for the word 有点儿 which is an adverb. but there is no such thing as 有一点儿 + adjective. so would u say its gramatically wrong to use the 一?
@ChineseGrammarSimplified
@ChineseGrammarSimplified Жыл бұрын
有一点儿 = 有点儿, and yes, they are Adverbs, that is why I say they should go before an adj, or a verb. But no, it’s not wrong to use 一. Talk to any native speaker, and they will tell you the same thing.

@@ChineseGrammarSimplified but gramatically speaking, I thought using a verb (有) + 数量词 (一点儿) + adjective was wrong. in all dictionaries, there is only 有点儿 as an adverb. that is why I’m confused
@ChineseGrammarSimplified

@@brunocardoso7132 First of all, we actually use 点儿 and 一点儿 interchangeably. For example: 我买了一点儿苹果。= 我买了点儿苹果。 Second, I want to emphasize that 有点儿 is the same as 有一点儿. The dictionary is not entirely accurate for not including the more complete form "有一点儿" because, in reality, people do use both forms. Therefore, it's a mistake to view “有一点儿/有点儿(Adv)+adj” as “有(verb)+一点儿/点儿(M.W.)+adj.” Lastly, all grammar rules are a backward rationalization of the language patterns in real life, and a dictionary provides delayed documentation of vocabulary actually used in real life. It would be a mistake to alter real-life usage to conform to grammatical correctness, as every language is constantly evolving. When grammatically "incorrect" constructs are used frequently enough by the majority of native speakers, they become the new accepted grammar.

Could you use an easier vocabulary? 😢 to focus on the grammar explanation

That's good feedback. I tried to keep all the vocab in the examples around the HSK 1 level. I am sorry to hear that you still find them difficult. Some of the grammar points here are between HSK 2 and HSK 3 levels though. So don't feel bad if you can't grasp them all right away.
