Prokofiev Romeo and Juliet balcony scene (Macmillan)

This is the best balcony scene in my opinion. Ferri and Corella's pas de deux is charged with emotion and that teenage lovers' sweet and shy body language. It's just so sweet watching them. Everytime I feel down I look at their beautiful dance and I will keep smiling for a few hours :)

I've seen this scene so many times and never get tired of it. Angel Corella and Alessandra Ferri incarnate Romeo and Juliet so perfectly and the chemistry between them is so perfect !. They are so graceful . I've seen this scene with many wonderful, talented dancers but imho Corella and Ferry are the best Romeo and Juliet ever, just the best.

We all have plenty of praise for these world class dancers but let's not forget conductor David Garforth and the La Scala Orchestra creating the magical music for them to fly upon. Garforth is a truly outstanding ballet conductor so very sensitive to the needs of the dancers and to make them look the best they can possibly be.

Corolla and Ferri are perfect as R&J. They really capture and convey the youthfulness of the characters. Ferri is one of the best Juliets -- so light and delicate. her movement and expressions really captures J's innocence and the exhuberance of youth. She is well cast in this.

Beautiful pas de deux with real emotion and the acting of both of them exemplary. You really believe they are star struck teenagers and the Romeo dancer really convinces with his smiles . Their dancing is so fluid....wonderful.

Personally I think it's the best version of Balcony scene pas de duex. There are so many wonderful ballet dancers performed their own R&J but only Corella and Ferri interpreated the great love between Shakespeare's characters into every movement and their facial expressions are priceless. I've never seen other performance as goo as this one. I mean, I have watched more than 10 versions of R&J, this one is the best tbh

I loved a lot the version of this pas de deux danced by Alessandra Ferri and Julio Bocca but I have to recognise that Angel Corella is an outstanding Romeo and an absolute fantastic dancer.I think that latino classical dancer (Bocca,Corella,Bolle),in romantic roles like this,are capable to give something special more that the other ones.I couldn't say exactly what,but I feel this way.And Alessandra Ferri as Juliet is simply unreachable. Of such extraordinary dancers are born once every blue moon

Well, that's the thing - I don't think they are acting. it looks like that's kiss is for real, it's more than just chemistry in my mind. I must say I saw this scene at in a dozen different performances, they never seem to grasp the true connection these two have (regardless of the spectacular dancing abilities, of course).
