This looks a lot like my cousin's room in the 90's. I'm with you Toya, I think the 2k aesthetic I remember is very different from the Pinterest version. The room makeover is very cute though, really like how the molded parts look on the furniture.

This looks so much like my room when I was a preteen in the early 2000's It's a little uncanny. I had a loud bedspread with a fuzzy throw at the end, a canopy, a pink fuzzy rug, a purple beanbag, beaded curtains, a wall covered in pictures and posters, several Bratz dolls and the lip phone. You absolutely nailed the Y2K aesthetic.

I had one of those net canopy things above my bed in the mid 00s. It was purple, and had big pink/red lips on it - which made me think of Bratz dolls at the time.

I love it! It is a total Y2K princess room! It’s giving Barbie Diaries, Myscene room decoration online game! Loved the beanbag chair makeover and all furry fuzzy accents. And the poster! So cool! The styling on Savannah for this shoot is perfect! The outfit is fabsome!!!

This room is very cute! I remember the early 00's style being a lot brighter. More sequins, fur, and patterns too. I think Lizzie Maguire, Limited Too, Groovy Girls, and of course Bratz would be good sources of inspiration.

As a girl born in 1994,I think you did a good job all this Y2K stuff reminds me of my childhood, Bratz and My Scene were some of my favorite dolls as a kid and it also reminds of early 2000's Disney channel,When That's So Raven,Lizzie McGuire,Even Stevens including some of the animated stuff like Kim Possible and The Proud Family and the other Disney shows from that era were around.

Love this so much! I’ve started collecting dolls casually about 2 years ago mostly rainbow high and then some lol omg. Recently I found a tote at my moms with a bunch of my old Barbie stuff from the 90s/2000s and I was surprised to find some of my fav Barbie’s/ clothes from that era. Most of those dolls were in great condition (i wasn’t the type of kid that let my Barbies get all messy , I took very good care of them) but I didn’t expect them sitting in storage for 20 years to be in such good shape . Now I’m searching eBay for other 90s/2000s Barbie’s that I loved. I wish my mom saved them all but that probably would of been 4 totes full. AnywAys your channel has inspired me! I’m amazed by what you create . I’ve decided to start a hobby building a custom doll house + furniture and more for myself and niece. I have the privilege of working from home so I watch her 5 days a week and we love playing together! She’s only 3 but I figured I could spend a couple years crafting and creating a house , shops and more , so in a couple years she will have a amazing little home and world for her dolls. It will be our thing together , and something my little girl self could only dream of!

This doll room is super cute and I myself was a teen during y2k lol !! I just love the sock over the plastic bean bag chair idea 🤗 so creative you are Toya ! I'm sure you are familiar with squishmallows, did you know thay make mini squishmallows?? I found a 6 pack at Walmart for about 20 dollars. I think they are a perfect size for barbie or Bratz to have on the bed . Look into those on your next shopping adventure.
