She was much louder than him. He was the one that kept the song balanced. The coaches alluded to the fact the song seemed rigged to favour her more than him. The song could have been better to enjoy if Marissa's mic was kot so loud. Proof of this is that Marissa lost the very next battle. No one to balance her voice and make Mariska look great. So she came off as wild and all over the place.

There's Absolutely no Doubt Whatsoever that Ryan is the better and more talented Vocalist; an Effortless Singer in Vocal Range, Power and Control....His rendition of this song reminds me of how Josh Groban sings.... Marissa is indeed a Powerful Vocalist with a typically high vocal range; but I picked up some control issues which I heard made her sound like she was actually screaming to hold the high, powerful notes with consistent control....☝🏾
