That’s a sick setup and exactly what I was thinking when we get the 62 come in 🙌🏽 We’ll be watching weights but we’ll also be watching our money too so it’ll have to be a balance between the two!!
@TravelExplore4x4 Жыл бұрын
Thanks mate 👊🏽 yeah it’s nearly complete, but atm it works so well for cooking etc. yeah there is always that balance between the two, it’s helps when you have friends in the business I guess too.

Looks great. So neat. I'm glad you discussed the downside of cooking out the back of the car. My biggest concern would be the smell of the food (cooking) going into the vehicle.
@TravelExplore4x4 Жыл бұрын
Thanks mate, appreciate it. Yeah it can be a pain but I guess that part of it. For big trips I will have a table and have that setup to the side. I had also thought of putting plastic on my cargo barrier to separate the cab from the back. That was mainly going to be to keep mozzies and flies out etc, but would help with keeping the cooking smells out of there aswell

Hey mate, love the set up. Could you tell me the dimension from the drawers to the driver's side of the boot? Across that empty space. Cheers mate

Hey mate. Im not totally sure and I don’t have me car on me at the moment as it’s getting repainted. I know you could have half of the third row seats there if you wanted.

Primo set up bro 👌🏾 Question. Who did you get to complete the powder coating and carpeting of the set up for you…or did you do that yourself? Thanks
@TravelExplore4x45 ай бұрын
Thanks heaps, really appreciate that. I had my father in law powder coat the drawers for me. You could get it done anywhere though. Just depends where you are located. The carpeting I did myself.

Wonder what the legalities and insurances implications are in removing the seating. Does this work need to be inspected and signed of by any transport department.
@TravelExplore4x4 Жыл бұрын
I believe if you take the rear seats out you are meant to let them know and have it registered as a 5 seater. Taking them out doesn’t require and inspection I believe but putting them back in definitely would as you are refitting seatbelts etc. I wouldn’t take my word for gospel as I’m not 100% on it.

do you travel more than 2weeks at a time I'm concerned about your freezer space with a upright fridge freezer.
@TravelExplore4x4 Жыл бұрын
If i travel with the family we have our caravan with a big fridge/freezer in it. If I’m going to do a big remote trip with out the family I can always just pop a female freezer in the back for frozen foods if I need. The freezer does hold a fair bit though is you pack it right. Not enough for a family for two weeks, but Its unlikely that I will go remote with the family without the caravan for two weeks.

@@colinrose3852 no worries 👍🏽 yeah different setups work better for others. This was mainly for saving weight as I don’t have to have a drop slide or similar for the fridge which can weigh up to 40kg. So it’s a pretty good weight saving.

Hi I can’t rennet the split on the back seats, bust you could definitely make it work. I think If you didn’t have the slide out pantry drawer then I think you could definitely make it work.
