SRK is a true professional. Also one of the most hardworking actors. If he chose to produce Paheli it was obviously with a view to give a superior cinematic experience. And also somewhere trying to emulate Lagaan by bagging an Oscar entry. Then it was swades again by ashutosh gowarikar. And then paheli Kuch toh dekhkar hi paisa lagaya hoga. Hoping to make it an Oscar winner. But it was not the best film. For oscars that year. Black which releases the same year had a better chance by miles. Again Oscar / academy Awards maybe the most prestigious of the lot and gets global recognition and Lagaans nomination to the final nominees made the Oscar dream a possibility for indian cinema back in mid 2000s. But red chillies was one of finest production houses that made some brave movies like Ra. One which was ahead of its times and inspired by Tron legacy. But with superior vFX for that time.
