Kobe and the Lakers would have easily beaten LeBron's Cavs in the finals in 2009. People forget that the reason LeBron has such a high winning percentage against Kobe was because between 04-05 to 06-07 Kobe's team was trash; and between 2011-2016, LeBron was either on the big 3 Heat, or Kobe was completely out of his prime (2013-14 - 2015-16 seasons). However during the 2008-2009 season the Lakers swept the Cavs during the regular season. LeBron and the Cavs would have lost to the Lakers in most likely 5, but at most 6 games.

Also while you're right about LeBron's stats being superior on an average basis against Kobe in those match-ups; you have to take into consideration context. Like for example, all of Kobe's stats cumulatively dropped on his last 3 years. That's not LeBron's fault, but clearly Kobe was washed when he faced LeBron in those years, and as a result, his stats would dip. That being said; yes LeBron is higher than Kobe all time, but I am certain in 09 he would've lost in the finals.
