The darkening of the things embedded with haki serves 2 purposes in real life... First the editor told Oda after the war arc that they needed to make it more clear when someone was using this new power system he had implemented... so to show that a character is using armament haki they decided to give this black vulcanization color to the haki embedded things... In "story" it means to us that before having the knowledge of how haki worked we just couldn't see it when it was being used... meaning as an example that if the kujas were to shoot their arrows now we would see them colored black, but before learning we just didn't...

Hey so you know the "metal" that you are talking about is just the manifestation of haki. It's basically to show when people use haki. Before the time skip many people used it but we couldn't see the difference bc we didn't knew what was haki. When Luffy used the snake shot it wasn't electricity it's just to show the pain bc luffy squeeze the spot where zoro cut hordy

i think it's a very striking way to show Haki. like, before we could barely tell the difference unless someone said it, but now we literally see it grow onto the person's body/weapons. I've always liked it since the Timeskip began and it has never let me down in terms of hype!

Huge things have way more wind, or in this case water resisting against their movement and need more energy to move so they move slower... if not actually slow at least they appear slower due to their size since you need to watch them from afar... Remember that mermaids are the fastest living creatures alive in the water, but also Yowahoshi is not well trained since she has lived in the tower for quite a while and also right now she is swimming on air... not water... using her floaty bubble... PS: i know he mentioned part of it in the video i am just summarizing...

It was an over representation in the anime of what happened in the manga... since the anime was trying to extend the episode they did a bigger deal than necesary of that attack... luffy just hit Hordy in the wound Zoro gave him and Hordy felt it through his whole body... the electricity was just a background representation of Hordy's pain... but in the anime it did kinda look like it was part of the attack...

Luffy's snake move was a misrepresentation of the anime from what the manga did... not actually a mistake but it gives a different impression in the anime... It was actually hordy feeling how lufy was messing with his stomach wound... and to him the pain felt like a shock of electricity going through his body... but it was not actual electricity...

Luffy Snake Shot, I think he pushed his fingers all the way into Hordy (of course, he didn't pierce him), and grabbed with all his might to inflict pain to his left chest! Using electricity is dangerous for the Princes and Shirahoshi so I doubt he used that! There are a lot of moves he comes up with, but not every move would work for certain enemies, so these are rarely used moves by him. His regular moves are good enough for almost every enemy!

Ok not sure where u got the idea armament haki is only used on other objects or other things. That's just a different way to apply it. U apply it to urself or a weapon or an attack, the blackening is a more focused version then just armament haki. There is the invisible form and the more enhanced hardening. Essentially there's levels to haki usage in all three categories. Just because two opponents can use haki doesn't mean it's on the same level nor used in the exact same manner. Level, concentration, technique, amount there are various factors on how to apply haki and make it useful

Not correcting or anything... just tips on japanese reading... Shirahoshi... She-rah-ho-shi... there are no single consonants in japanese except for the letter N (so it can't be sheer-hoshi since the R would be alone), and sometimes the Syllable su/zu like in Sasuke which can be read as Saske in a hurry or lazily even if the U is written... but that happens in a really small number of cases... while the consonant N is the only actual consonant that exists by itself in the japanese "alphabet"... Japanese is a "syllabical" language... there are no single letters except for the N and vowels... and the sounds of the vowels are always the same, even when accompanied by a consonant, no matter which consonant, and no matter what comes after or before that syllable: - A="Ah" - E="Eh" - I="Ee" as in equal... - O="Oh" - U="Uh" So Shi-ra-ho-shi= Shee-rah-hoh-shee Those might not be the perfect ways to express the sounds in writting but since japanese only has one sound, whereas english has like 7 slightly and very different sounds for each vowel, so as long as you get used to how i wrote it no japanese person will think you are talking weird... Also remember there might be a few exceptions here and there but just following those 5 vowel sounds you can read 95% of japanese words correctly... Of course in one piece this readings apply only to japanese names... not to foreign names... Oda often uses names of people in the language of the place they are visiting and not actually japanese... but since he likes wordplay he uses a few japanese puns even if the name is not japanese...
