Around 10min there's an audio delay of about half a sec, not sure if it's KZbin, editing or if it's on my end. It gets progressively worse and towards the end of the video it's about a 4 sec delay.

Agreed 100% and her death was pretty much fitting and well deserved considering how much collateral damage she caused to her own team by always moving based on her emotions. edit: just mentioned death, did not want to spoil how she actually died in the WN, not sure if she is alive or dead or died the same way in the LN, for all I know she's still alive in the LN.

There's some interesting allusions to the real world Russia of the era. When Tanya says the Commies have terrible AA (anti-aircraft) she's referring to both the World War II period but also the bad performance of Soviet air defense when during the late cold war they couldn't stop German protester flying his private plane into the middle of Moscow. Tanya doesn't like commies because she's a capitalist business person. The purge of the mages by the Federation is also a reference to how Russia's communist government purged most of its officers (suspecting they may be plotting against their dictator Stalin, who was paranoid) prior to world war ii, which left them weak against the German attack. Likewise the corrupt practices of the Federation leaders are based on real villains in the Soviet government of the time, such as Beria.

I think you are confusing Railguns with railway guns. Railguns are electromagnetic guns that propelled projectiles at super sonic speed. Railway guns are big ass canons that need their own train to pull them.

Railguns because the frame needs precise conditions that the firing of the weapon at necessary speeds puts at risk making railguns xost ineffective vs missiles and standard ballistics. While Railway Guns well besides being tied to a railway making them frustratingly easy to predict they couldn't outperform smaller more mobile weapons by a wide enough margin to justify their wartime use...and then ICBMs came into play and the railgun just died, which makes it all the more sad/hilarious when you learn of the Atomic Betty and realize that railway guns would have been perfect for her.

a more accurate translation would be a railway gun. it lets you bring heavy artillery via railway that you couldn't move over land otherwise. you can use them to shell positions deep in enemy territory. y'all were rightly thinking of railguns which use electromagnets to propel projectiles at hypersonic speeds. railway guns are normal artillery, just massive.

Yes! Tanya is my favourite character of all time. Also the fist anime I ever watch, so I got a little bit of an attachment and also some bias. Regardless, she is the best character of all time. Also you think she has good dialogue in this? You should read the books my guy. The books are in a whole other level. Really fun read. Her hatred of communism just makes you smile.

To those who think Yatnzees are involved in this series, that group never exists in this universe, since World War 1 was delayed by 10 years, so even if there was an Adolph Hitler in this universe, there was no treaty for him to get bent out of shape over in order to write "My Struggle" and he probably just had a lackluster career in the infantry and is probably still just a corporal. That is, if he didn't get caught in an early battle in the Rhine campaign and wind up doing a Wilhelm Scream or something.

Mages have miraculous healing and recovery. Which is how tanya, being 10 years old, can heal from massive explosions. Though i do agree that mary should be dead or otherwise crippled permanently from damage
