PS: I started Bleach as a manga before it got animation, so I am as OG as one can be and still believe the opening is too spoily like most shonens and that's why lots of people nowadays just skip openings in general.

Tbh the opening didn’t spoil anything for anime only viewers. Besides showing Uryu with the Sternritter and a brief glimpse of the dual Zangetsu everything else is out of context and can only be theorized about. Atleast in my opinion of watching it front to back all the time

Even kid cartoons can have limbs and blood but showing the brutality of violence and people getting put against the wall to be murdered is a completely different thing. Plus the old anime did censor a lot, just see that Rangiku losing half of her body and Hiyori being split in half were turned into common injuries in the anime.

Yeah, Aizen gave Halibel the "chance" to survive the battle in FKT, if she was strong enough. If Aizen wanted her dead she'd be dead, like Tosen. Similarly, while it sounded like smack talk from Yamamoto, he really did let the Tres Bestias off with just burns. Yama was being completely honest. As for Ebern, think Gabi from AoT, he and the other Arrancar slave soldiers have that same attitude. They're proud to be "one of the good ones."

For the record Aizen did try to kill Harribel and her followers. It was a random one shot where they showed Oriheme healing them all and the soul reapers agreeing to let them go back to Hueco Mundo and rule

Ebern was probably offended at being called an Arrancar because Hueco Mundo has always been rather survival of the fittest, and since the Quincy army conquered and enslaved them and then offered a few chosen ones to join them and receive some Quincy power, he felt a sense of superiority to regular Arrancars who were the "weak enslaved race" now in their eyes. Which was very misguided as they were no less disposable, just temporarily useful pawns

In a lot of ways, their sense of self was most important to them, and their goals could be summed up as “looking for a bigger piece of the pie”. Same could be said for Xcution. But the Wandenreich? They’re on that Roman/Mongolian shit. You submit, or they burn everything down and build their empire on your ashes.

Hollows( have been beefing with the quincies for hundreds & thousands of years. Many Quincy have died at the hands of hollows which is why the Quincy developed their abilities in the first place to defend themselves. Tbh I completely get where Ishida is coming from when he said he doesn't wanna help hollows.

Not only that, Hollows kill (devour) humans regularly, and since he was young, Ishida had always wanted to protect humans from Hollows. And Ishida demonstrably has a strong sense of pride and identity as a Quincy, so I personally don't think his hesitancy to help Hollows is very strongly based in some sort of unfair prejudice against them.

As you all clearly noted Quincies share my Nazi-like symbology, you are to assume that the Arrancars are trained to detest Hollows even if they are one. As for Ebern (Arrancar who attacked Ichigo), He didn't actually use Quincy's powers, it was just an Arrancar ability that had range, You can tell because the cannon was made of Bone)
