I read somewhere that the reason why a hammer works better for Hector as a Forgemaster is because he's trying to build something. He went into this series ready to cull the human race and creating a controlled population. Where a knife works better for Issac because he knew that Dracula's real plan was ready to cut humanity down to extinction.

Carmilla just wants it all just because someone else has it. She's a parasite, she's envious, she's greedy, and worst of all she's insatiable. She wants what others have. She walked up into Dracula's castle, she decided she wanted it. She saw his mission to conquer Wallachia, she wanted that too. She saw a map of the region, she wanted that. She sees a map of Europe, she wanted that. If you showed her a globe, she'd try and take the world if she could. As long as someone goes against her or tells her she can't do it, especially if that someone was a man, it'd never end.

I still don't think they'd be able to pull it off. They'd have to triple the budget for it to simply stay consistent. The manga's artstyle is way too detailed to be done justice that easily. They'd have to cut so many corners just to get a decent frame rate for each ep.

12:33 That's not true, Hector is bound to each of the 3 sister every bit as much as Lenore because the first thing Lenore does after binding him is give the other sisters 3 duplicate rings. Lenore is a relatively sheepish charachter compared to the other 3 and isn't brazen enough to try and initially hold that power over the others, which would make her the most powerful and change their whole dynamic. So because she is the most sheepish she gave them all rings to maintain the same balance and not piss off the others or make them wary or suspicious of her intentions. I think Carmilla wouod have killed or enslaved her.

Not sure if anyone else realized the observation Lupa made, but he's right: at this point, Sypha and Trevor are Tired. We already saw in episode one that they were constantly getting thrown in battle with different night creatures out on the road, and now they've come full circle to where this whole mess started. Essentially, the epi-center. So things are just going to get worse from here on out for them. Also, I've always seen Carmilla as being an interesting villain. And while I do understand that you could base her motivations on a surface level hatred for men, it does still tie into that. From the bit of her backstory given in the last season, we know she was turned by an older male vampire, and if you notice from her spiel about how the sisters were left to fend for themselves without help, she kinda has a point to be angry with men in general. They've taken much from her, but this can also be seen (at the very very very very base) as a defense mechanism. We can infer that she came from low status, presumably peasantry or even a slave, and this vampire man probably takes her. And having everything means having power over everyone else, which would work with the idea that she may have been very poor. Castlevania does so well at exploring the characters, including those we would see as traditional antagonists. Carmilla is no exception, and rewatching through these reactions -- as well as the opinions in the comments -- allows me to like really stop and think about these characters. And oof i have written a whole essay in this comment. I hope no one finds themselves forced to read this, but another awesome reaction.
