Someone pointed it out to me that Isaac has become what Dracula was, driven by vengeance and with a subordinate he doesn't treat as a slave in Flyseyes. He talks to Flyseyes like he were on his level instead of as a tool, but Flyseyes treats Isaac as a master. In the same way, Dracula always asked Isaac if he were a friend still, meanwhile Isaac worshipped Dracula

Isaac was on the exact same path as Dracula up until episode 6, where he makes the calculated move of *spoiler alert* sparing Hector’s life. He effectively breaks the cycle of vengeance and becomes his own man

Believe it or not, since I first saw this episode I've been using "dogfuckers" amongst my gallery of creative swear-word based insults I use to call people; ones that especially come out when I'm driving. Also, fun fact about Striga's helmet; the glass is probably mixed with gold to filter out UV light and radiation, it's a much more simple version of how space-suits and their visors work.

I recently rewatched this episode and I just - am fucking floored at how Morana and Striga convey they're veteran commanding officers by dialogue alone. "Victory Condition", "Battle Theater", "Supply Lines" and just the overall strategic perspective they have with such a worn-down tone. There's nothing as stupid as a big prompt labeling Striga as "Force Commander" and Morana as "Master Strategist" or whatever. They know enough to label the stakes and they know when the cost is too high. Do you have any idea how insufferably rare it is for anything in fiction to express this level of tactical insight in a character? And that was a handful of sentences!

I adored this episode so bloody much. Anytime both flyeyes and Issac are on screen is awesome and this conversation about fighting an endless war of control and killing farmers. That mentality of “fighting to preserve the life of others” is exactly what I used for my “not Belmont” character in DND. The point wasn’t to live, that’s a luxury, the point was to take them down, to fight ruthlessly against the night, no fear of death. For in death he would join an army of devils in an eternal war with the abyss.

I think you guys are a little confused on how the slave ring works. It doesn't have control over your mind or actions. Hector cannot hurt them, flee or remove the ring and the creatures of his night will be loyal to them. So she cant control the other sisters it just links them together so that the night creatures are loyal to all of them. Hector is the only one "enslaved" by it.

As much as I would like to see it animated I do not trust anyone to carry on Miuras legacy at this point other than his assistants that he personally trained. Also I do not believe certain scenes that Miura drew can be animated properly and have the same effect his art style was so special for a reason and the way he drew things could make you feel a certain way that no other drawings or animation could make you feel. Berserk is his magnum opus and I'm sorry if others disagree but people should READ IT not watch it. He put his entire life into drawing that manga and his work should be properly appreciated through reading it and looking at his art.
