Technically for the wish with Broly, it's probable that as he was about to get eviscerated by Gogeta's Kamehameha, that it actually knocked fear into him, and so he internally wanted to go back "home", and didn't want to die, which happened to be the moment he regained his pupils, and when Cheelai made the wish. Just my theory regarding that 💀

Shenron only giving non-regulars one wish isn't new, in the Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie only one wish was given when he was summoned. And before you try to use the time they were used to revive Frieza during Resurrection of F, Pilaf and his gang were there and they count as "repeat customers".

well the thing about goku being able to deny being brought home, the rule is supposed to be if you are STRONGER than the dragon (aka stronger than the creator, like gura, kami, dende, ect) then you can override the wish by saying you dont want it. (goku couldnt be brought home, and this is also why you cant just wish to kill someone thats strong) thats why the z fighters being wished into children doesnt make sense because they are all stronger than dende, shenron should be like "na these niggas too strong bro i cant do that/they dont want to be children"

I like the implication that all Kais come from the demon realm. As if there's some kind of process or test that they go through where they're granted the ability to watch over the other realm. Also, I wonder if it'll ever be answered how the Supreme Kai becomes life linked to Beerus. I doubt it'll be directly answered since Goku and the others don't know him yet but maybe there's a ritual of some kind. Also regarding Shenron, I like to think that he's just making stuff up as he goes. He's well aware that he comes across as this imposing and majestic being of immense power and knows that he can say whatever the hell he wants to people and they'll believe it.

A short Google search says that Dragons can't do anything against the will of someone stronger than them and/or their creators. The best answer I've seen is that since the wish wasn't technically rooted in malice as far as Shenron was concerned, and he was only gonna give them one anyway, and he knows what child Goku is capable of, especially if everyone retains knowledge of their whole lives (Super Saiyan, etc), the Z Fighters will probably be fine. So he allowed it. Plus one year of being a kid isn't THAT bad, right?! All the Z Fighters are off the grid, rich AF and/or are friends with DBZ's Steve Jobs' family. Best answer I pieced together.

Yeah, Shenron is just doing whatever he wants. Also, wishing Buu away won't amount to much. Back in Z, Oolong asks Shenron to get rid of the saiyans and Shenron says he can't do that because they're beyond his creator's power therefore his own. Also, wishes like that don't work because you can't wish to kill or harm anyone with the dragon balls which is one of its rules. The most they could've done with Buu is to just wish him somewhere far away, but that's not really solving the problem. Buu travels at speeds way faster than light so flying back to Earth isn't a problem. Buu can use instant transmission after seeing Goku do it which makes getting back a lot easier. He literally teleported to heaven to kill dead people! Lastly, Buu can scream so hard that he rips holes through dimensions, meaning he can just scream a portal back to Earth.

To be fair before Daima it was pretty consistent that if you have a high enough power level you can literally just "NOPE" a wish. It's why they couldn't use Shenron to get rid of Vegeta in the Saiyan saga. So the real plot hole is why couldn't they just "NOPE" the Daima wish. The only thing I can think is old Namek guy supercharged Shenron, but that is just headcannon at this point.

I guess there's a distinction between "Evil", "Neutral", and "Good" wishes. Like how they described it a White/Black wish in episode 1. Healing people or returning life is seen as good so no permission needed. But teleportation or any forms of harm is on a scale between neutral to harmful, so can't be forced on powerful people. Turning into kids is similar enough to "granting youth" so it's seen a good wish. ... though Goku refusing to be brought back to life post-Cell games kinda ruins this theory.
