1:35 I know they have already finished this show, but for anyone watching for the first time, I think they have a slight misunderstanding of the concept of Britannia. We see the North American continent as the capitol of Britannia, but as the name implies, this is an alternate reality where America never gained its independence and Britain became even more of a world superpower. (This is not a spoiler, simply fan speculation based on the geography of the intro sequence.)

Yeah, basically what the teacher mention in the episode 3 - Humiliation of Edinburgh is a turning point in their history where Queen of England was captured by the rebels, and then forced to flee to the newfound at the time North America with most of aristocrats and her savior, who consequently became the first emperor of the new Holy Britannian Empire. It's never fully mentioned in the show, but it's interesting piece of their history.

Aspiring anime reactors are like in the know or something because the same thing happened with JoJo. A lot of reactors either reacted to the JoJo OPs or the 1 second from every JoJo episode. And then those same reactors got into reacting to JoJo itself. They pick up trends, they see what other reactors are reacting to and how much success is garnered from that. Covid certainly got the ball rolling on stuff like this though. I wonder which anime the next big wave of anime reactions are going to be about.

I know you guys have already finished the show, but I don't think this was ever explained. The Britannian Empire are not Americans. Code Geass is set in an alternate timeline where America never became independent, and then when Napoleon conquered Europe, England (calling itself the Holy Britannian Empire) relocated itself to be based in America, then conquered all of North and South America before expanding to other regions, like Japan.

I won't say lelouch is stupid for not knowing the extent of the geass, as the only one who would know is dead, and he wouldn't have known without trying. I mean it worked for everyone without question, him assuming it was only once is weird, considering its "the power of the king's"

I didnt understand why they called him stupid for that either. C2 was as far as he knew dead and the only one who knew about his ability. So him all of a sudden knowing it's a one time use per person isnt a fair assumption to make which is why he does experiments to figure out the limits of his Geass so that mistakes wouldnt happen again.

This is totally off topic, but I'm learning Japanese, and I never noticed how many times characters in this show says 「然し」when they say "but". Like English, Japanese has tons of different ways to say "but" "however" "nonetheless" "still". But every character keep using "Shikashi". Lulu says it four times, Kallen says it twice.
