Marcille tried cooking by the book and she went crazy. Also, to answer Lupa's question on Mandrakes, most of the monsters and creatures here are referenced from both real-world mythology and other fantasy media, mandrakes are kinda technically real (there's a plant called mandragora, the roots are specifically referred to as mandrakes, which come up in clusters, sometimes they look like human faces, humans are programmed to recognize faces, the roots are medicinal, hallucinogenic, and poisonous, I definitely wouldn't eat them unless there was a way to neutralize the poisons, but I suppose if you're in ye-olden times without aspirin or ibuprofen and need a painkiller, it's better than nothing, please don't go around eating foraged plants without properly checking what it is first); remember that for something that's just a bizarre sight later on. A lot of them are just twists on how we expect them to be (mimics, living armor, etc.) and justified in a manner of how they would fit into an ecosystem like a dungeon.

I don't think it is explained but the reason why it looks like they have a meal every 5 minutes is because it's implied they've been traveling for a couple or few hours, the places they're in are big but the show rarely gives any example of how much time has passed or what time it is
@standheaykic663 ай бұрын
That's should be common sense without need for explanation. I'm still baffled when people say 'why they have meal every 5 minutes or 10 steps' as if they forget the title of the show.
@foxdragon22763 ай бұрын
@@standheaykic66 yeah, that's usually my typical thought with shows, when there's a gap in something that isnt outright explained, I just fill in the gaps myself with something that makes sense, I do notice there are some people that don't do that though
@CaffieneKitty3 ай бұрын
Roshi was probably thinking of Firedrakes, or just Drakes. Those are usually two legged dragon types anywhere from the size of a housecat to the size of a house. Also called Wyverns. Mandrakes are actually a real plant, it's just the screaming that's part of ancient European mythology though, and that's where HP and many other fantasy based things got them from.

I love this show; the characters are a delight from the start and they only get better as the series reveals more of their depth. Laios is socially awkward but his understanding of monsters comes in clutch. Chilchuck's the most serious one here but his skills as a scout and trap smith are crucial. Marcille's emotional and her magic is overkill at a time the party needs all the resources they can get but that magic is going to be vital later on. Senshi has those crazy survivalist vibes but his expertise on subsisting on the dungeon's resources is vital!
