Imo i will always dislike seven deadly frames more because not only was the animation bad it DIDNT EVEN LOOK GOOD. At least blue lock had good frames and moment. There was a scene with meliodas laying down that LOOKED SOOO UGLY. Like blue lock has the vfx and sound design locked but animation just bad hopefully u 20 game is peak.

@@theraxo1137 art and animation are separately, so the comparison on the animation front is fair. This studio is known for not having that much animations in their projects then you add detailed character designs… even the trailer has little animations and has many stills.

What Karasu ( the crow guy) is doing is a technique in football called shielding. It’s when you use your arms to make yourself bigger to help you protect the ball from defenders and also is used to outmuscle opponents off the ball.

The way Karasu uses his arms is a little exaggerated but yes you can extend your arms in soccer to a certain degree. It is usually just to sheild the ball but in the show Karasu does it actively. The reason for this is Karasu actually measures the distance of the opponents with his arms.

To add to this. It's similar to basketball, as long as you don't displace your opponent or obstruct their movement to the extent they can't continue their action it's not a foul. But, Karasu calculates the perfect distance and position to 'obstruct' them which is allowed kind of like screening or as if he had his back turned to his opponent. Realistically though this would only work in high level play, as things like this are almost always considered a foul in amateur soccer especially with the risk of injury due to inexperience.

It's gonna be "Blue Flop" for now but Isagi's VA said that he heard that they put all their effort into the u20 match so we might still be good. Luckily the frames we do get are still very well drawn and you can see that they really tried to keep it as dynamic as possible despite their shortcomings. It's still watchable, so i'm trying to have faith in what i've heard and i'll keep up the weelky grind.

To answer if you can do what Karasu is doing yes you can put hands on people to get them away from the ball you can't pull their jersey or push them, but Karasu's whole ability is his ability to displace people or hold them back his ability is basically shield the ball and steal or pass it. (Next episode or two is going to be the test for the animation cause a very very important part happens, so hopefully we see a sign of life or this season might be cooked).

One of the cool things about this show is that each character’s “weapon” is almost always just something you have to do in actual soccer. The way Karasu uses his arms is how everyone should, everyone should have good spatial awareness, everyone needs to be fast, etc etc. But yeah Karasu definitely using his arms correctly and not a foul plus tbf soccer players practically constantly foul each other. The amount of hands grabbing my jersey when I played probably would’ve been a felony if it was just one person LOL.

what karasu did was essentially shield the ball, keep the person marking him at bay...but he shouldnt go for the face nor pull their shirts its quite useful for both defensive and offensive situations, make a slight mistake with this technique and the opponent thats a good actor can take advantage and win a foul

In soccer, (Atleast at pro level play) using your arms to block, obstruct, and even to some degree "shove" your opponent is all fair play. Compared to basketball, I could see why it's so surprising since even slight touches are called fouls, but in soccer it's much more agressive play.
