If I may offer an advice about how you handle the camera, when you pan (going left to right or the other way) try to plan ahead what you want to show and then, move the camera s-l-o-w-l-y in only one direction. It will greatly improve the quality of your videos. Have a look at the KZbin channel "Life is like sailing" for a good example of quality videos. Thank you for your interesting videos, specialy those documenting the improvements you do on your sailboat.

At 14 mins in, so disregard if you answer in the video boss. But do you think or feel this could be a viable way for a fellow to make money while cruising with a family? I mean in order to pay the bills, food, maintenance etc.. you think it could be done? My wife and I are not minimalist, but we are not extravagant either. Kinda middle of the road.

If you have a Captains license and are hired as a captain you are paid much more than the crew so it would be possible to make a living doing this,,, IF you had a few yacht brokers that hired you regularly. The main issue is there is a lot of competition for this work depending on the region or there just aren't a lot of deliveries to be had, also depending on the region. For instance if someone lives in Florida there is so much boat traffic up and down the east coast and in the Caribbean that it might be possible to stay busy as a delivery captain but again you would need a network to keep it steady.

Charter boat companies need boats deadheaded at times, I am pretty sure they hire licensed captains...

James how do you prepare to fire up the engines after 10 years or were they being maintained during it's off the water non useage?

The engines were brand new when installed and there was a guy who did preventive maintenance on the engines and ran them ever so often so they were in good shape but we did have an engine alarm that went off for like 14 days straight.

@@SailorJames I done a 3 month course for a career in the merchant navy and failed the eng1 due to colour blindness.I desperately want to have a career at sea so if this is the case then this provides me a little hope. I am also interested in sailing the world like you have.
