If I wasn’t so old I’d get my Captain License and help you out.

What did it cost the new owners for delivery? 1200 rpm for 9kn isn’t bad at all. Wonder what your fuel burn is per hour. And you were really sucking that juice on the first leg of your travels.

Yeah at 1800+rpm we only got a few more knots of speed but the fuel burn increased exponentially, and dramatically reduced our range. It was a thirsty boat, so we kept it at 1200 for the rest of the trip. You can check out my website if you want more cost details www.havenyachtdelivery.com, but I can tell you the fuel bill for this trip was about $12k.

What were your thoughts on the Zeus pods?
@havenyachtdelivery58 Жыл бұрын
I like them, they seem to work very well, both on this boat and others I've driven. The only thing I don't like about them is unlike the Volvo Penta joystick which is somewhat arrow shaped, the Zeus joystick is completely round, which can sometimes confuse me when I am looking at the stern of the boat and my hand is on the stick as to exactly which direction to push it to get it to do what I want. The Volvo Penta stick has a shape to it, so no matter which direction I am facing, I can 'feel' which way to move it based on the shape.

@@havenyachtdelivery58 what are your thoughts on how smooth they work and their reliability?
@havenyachtdelivery58 Жыл бұрын
@@behroozcharmchi6941 It takes a bit of practice to get smooth with them, in understanding what happens when you move the joystick in different directions. Under normal operations using the wheel and throttles they work great. They seem to be fairly reliable, but maintenance costs are much higher than straight shafts, as they are much more complicated and less technicians available to work on them

I was looking forward to watching this video of roughly a 1500 trek up mostly open ocean travel until you get into Puget Sound, but what a disappointment of what could have been very entertaining, butchered down to 9 minutes. The background music was also too loud drowning you out when you were talking about using the radar. Very disappointing overall. You skipped northern cali, all of Oregon and all of WA State except for your arrival into Olympia.
