Outstanding Jack, you are one of very few who actually call out fittings and features that aren’t quite right. Too many reviews are done with the presenters saying everything is perfect when in fact it really isn’t. I understand this is not a bad reflection of the builder, just small items that would change the overall experience and enjoyment of the yacht. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing your next tour.

Ahhh the Jack we all know and love has returned! 'Fiat 500' vents, the expression when sitting at the dinette aft, grizzling about the flybridge helm, but all done constructively (cough) in your own unique way! Masses of positive feedback too, naturally. Certainly found myself grinning throughout. Very enjoyable and first class show as usual J & team. See you on the next one!

i am glad to see riva go this way with their galley. so many boats today dedicate what seems to be half of the main deck space to the galley which kills the living space. this is all the galley she needs and it works very well.

The horrendous ergonomics across virtually all seating (let alone driving) areas is insane for something this expensive. The folding directors chairs have more back support than any built in or on-deck seating 🙄

I can’t understand why they think sitting in a stress position is a selling point ,even downstairs the wheel I below his knees!
@Ridewithjst6 ай бұрын
@@wingcommanderdaltonwalton67 yup. Like even cheap cars have steering wheel angle and depth adjustments, meanwhile most yachts only have angle, which is wild when it’s in a terrible position like this.

Brilliantly honest review Jack, thank you. The yacht doesn’t have the appeal of Rivas of old, it’s doesn’t have the ergonomics from the sounds things, but no doubt they’ll sell enough to look pretty in ports across the world!

When I was a kid in the 80s, we met up with a friend from school's family in the South of France. His father had one of those wooden Riva speedboats and took us out for the day off St. Tropez. There were 9 of us on board, 4 adults, 5 kids and my father water-skied for the only time in his life off the back of it. I remember it vividly. That boat said I've got style, I've got class, I've got good taste and it oozed sex appeal. This boat, this Diva, it's nice and all, I wouldn't say no exactly, it's a bit form over function, but when it speaks, all it says to me is... I've got money. Nothing more, nothing less.

It is kinda what this globalized World has taken us too, and Riva probably was one of the first to be in that place. I think it was a bit similar with the 60 Corsaro and some of the other larger Riva's that came in the eighties and nineties and afterwards, like milking the SuperAmerica line for over two decades, which probably was perfect with the 45 and then 48 and lost in what came before and aft. Riva still has the Aquarama feel in the smaller models (Aquariva and Iseo first) and probably I would go as up to the Florida and Bahamas models. I always thought since many years that the Riva magic is a bit lost in the flybridge models. As for the throttles I kind of understand but most boats over forty feet you do not stay changing throttle much in most if not all situations. A boat is not a car, and a car is not a boat, more so in a 24 meter (pocket) super yacht.
Another great review (I expect nothing less from the best in the biz). Not sure I love the boat though. Seems like form over function in a few too many areas. A bit of a footballers wife. Very pretty but I'm not sure I could live with one.

Still have not reviewed the Cranchi 78, which has done this exact layout but arguably better, without the awkward ergonomics, just as pretty and quality and the boat does 32kts

I love your tours, especially with the test drive 😊 Personally, I don't see the point of a speed boat, and a 300nm range to me is a joke, but to each his own.

Glad you liked the review, thanks! As for range, remember the quoted range is at 25 knots, it would go much further at displacement speeds if needed - Jack

5:39 The deck looks so great (dark) when it's wet, why is it that no one seems to care for dark stained teak?
@dlfendel284411 ай бұрын
Its beautful, but I'm kind of disappointed. The comfort re. seating and especially the helm issues is something you'd think they'd have figured out and fixed in design.
@wingcommanderdaltonwalton676 ай бұрын
Stunning boat but I can never understand why nobody makes a boat with a comfortable driving position? You should be able to sit for hours without having to stretch or lean all over the place. They need to get someone from Bentley sorting this crap out. My van looks more comfortable than this!

Piece of advice: it is a huge mistake to show the different parts of the boat in a quick snippet at the beginning of the video. Basically what you’re telling your audience is “here, now you don’t have to watch the whole video”. You will double your videos viewership thusly.

That aft seating arrangement would be better served having storage for shoes, etc on either side and pushing the backrests inward. Total missed opportunity

If you give us a ballpark of how tall you are, we'd get a better feel of how the throttle controls might be for the rest of us, (given the 'fairly far forward position'), the 'relativity', as well as the relativity of so many other features that you cover in your yacht reviews. Ergo; High side deck rails, high cabin ceiling, low engine room ceiling, wide hatch, narrow hatch, etc.

I wonder if text could be edited somewhere on each vid where he mentions the height of ceilings etc so Jack doesn't have to mention his height on every video, just a couple seconds of txt 'Jack is 6ft tall'. Just a thought. 👍

Most boring riva ever made. Riva need to have more innovation and more design forward yachts. Very repetitive designs
