I have *_never_* seen crew cabins _nor_ crew mess on the main deck before! That is awesome when you are truly designing for crew comfort. Bering really makes their ships more spacious with their wider and safer builds. My top three yacht builders are Lürssen, Damen/Amels and Bering, so this video is right up my alley. 😁I haven't even started on the nice layout and wonderful interior. This is one of those that's difficult to mention everything you like about it, because it'd take half an hour or so to read. Thank you for bringing this one to us!

Truly ingenious deck layout, putting master and guests below and crew on the main deck. In the case of this size of yacht it really works. I absolutely love the respect for crew, which for long duration voyages IMO would be a huge deal. Happy crew, happy yacht. With the captains quarters on the bridge deck this ship could have a crew of five (my preference) not the listed four, the deck plans for which shows that bridge deck cabin turned into a skylounge.

What hull number is that boat? I love the newer ones, and I like that one too. I'm glad to see the crew being taken well care of in crew quarters. I hate when I see them crammed into leftover crevices of the yacht, like they were an after thought. But, it's not quite right for me. I don't like the step-overs with the watertight doors. Being built in Turkey you can expect great woodwork but MY GOODNESS this woodwork is outstanding. Do you know what that "mottled" wood is? Another question, did the owner take this around the world and is now finished with it or did they get a chance of circumstance?
@MikeHicks-q3d25 күн бұрын
It’s a great boat, but the thing that impressed me the most was the amount of space the owner chose to designate for crew. It’s not uncommon to see yachts far larger with absolutely miserable crew accommodations.

Nice boat, but a shame that the fit and finish of Bering Yachts is not what they promise. In older video's they talk superyacht finish, but in a recent video the owner of the shipyard Alexei Mikhailov says it is not a Fabergé egg. The paint, alignment and stainless steel is not always, and spacing of furniture doors ect. is not the same. (BERING STREAM: Cannes Yachting Festival, New Catamarans & Future Plans) In an other recent video of a tour on a 72 you see at the stern on the corners from top to bottom that they are not completely rounded. At another shot you see Alexei standing at a side gate that is not aligned with the railing. (Bering 72 boat tour: what is inside and beyond) Personally I think they have grown to fast and quality control is lacking behind. But again, I think it is a shame that you build this kind of nice sturdy ships with good materials and let it slip on fit and finish.

Ai ai… i’m a Behring fan but this one made me seriously hesitate again (or was it the chaotic and quiet somber presentation?). The too chunky aft deck, old (out) fashioned saloon (floors, furniture, lighting), large crew spaces yes but the styling looked like done 25 years ago. All these step-overs to every stateroom, ugly yellow wall colours everywhere and again really boring lighting among others. To be honest, this yacht lacks inspiration and refinement. Although the presenter kept on repeating that this boat is for cruising the world and searching polar bears (..), all that fantastic exploring (and the millions spent) in this safe robust vessel would be more enjoyable in a brighter, more modern and with more creativity designed yacht. Regardless all the hype this specific 72 is outclassed by a lot of it’s competitors, in my honest opinion.
