Hi. Thank you for taking the trouble to put this on here. I recently purchased the 710, great little radio that works well for me.

Thanks for the helpful advice. This is my first "modern" electronics radio so I'm getting a lot of new information. One hardware change I made was to replace the grounding screw in the back with a butterfly nut. A metric sized one with a washer behind it worked exactly right. That made adding and removing the ground wire much easier. Now you don't need to use a small screwdriver and be concerned about dropping the tiny screw. I wrote Yaesu about this (twice) but never received an answer. Richard KW0U

Yeah, I'll eventually get another one... same size, and hang it above the existing one. 73

I’m thinking about HRD for my FT.101.DX but i have not found a video yet that shows how to get started i want to do all the data modes CW. I just started looking at HRD been a ham 21 years and like to get it to this level of the hobby. Thanks 73”s Kg4muk

The process for all the Yaesu rigs with a USB connector on them is identically the same. There's a piece of my video on "Understanding PC COM Ports" where I talk a bit about this with an FT-991A. But the process is exactly the same.

You might need to move your mic away from your neck. Nice vid though.

Yeah, that was impossible to correct after we finished off the video. Lesson learned.
