Nice to meet you My name is Kinoshita and I live in Japan. I saw your KZbin and commented I also love YAESU's FT-ONE and have 4 full option FT-ONEs. The performance is lower than the current machine, but I value it very much I also love receivers, and KOBAYASHI-MUSEN's AS76 is particularly rare. I would like to send a photo. What is the method?

I had a mint FT One few years back but it ended up suffering from the dreaded dry soldier issues so sold it on.. A very handsome rig indeed

I had this radio when it first came out and purchased it from "Henry Radio" in Anaheim, USA. back in the day. Still a fantastic radio today (IMO), sorry I sold it!

I bought one today in mint condition, not a scratch on it. manuals and all. Volume pot needs a bit of cleaning. Everything works on it. My very first ham radio. I don't care that it's 40 years old and weighs as much as Pavarotti. It looks beautiful, vintage! The original Yaedu microphone has scan up/down, stop on top of it. A friend has tested it on his antenna and it works perfectly, but not on my experimental 20 and 40 meter dipoles. I've made a quick receive only antenna to play with it. Just couldn't wait, a Baofeng I had ordered never came yesterday so it got demoted until the antenna arrives : )

I just picked up three for 300 bucks, surprisingly all three work! One has a slight micro-phonics issue but all three work and sound great. I couldn’t afford this rig when it came out. Big dough in the states (around 2300-2800 bucks)

I have it's brother, the FT-980 and the SP-980 speaker. The SP-980 speaker might not match perfectly, but it would sound great!

Bought one of these from another local ham a couple of years ago, with some damage to some of the pots on the front panel and a large dent in the rear panel - just about where the back up switch is located. Replaced pots and tried to switch on, got nothing. 240V PSU seems either to not be fitted or faulty - Not opened it up to check yet (radio been stored under the bench for some time). Switches on from 13.8V though. Quick test and everything else seems to work Okay. Cosmetically the rest of the radio is in good condition. I paid £50 for it. Stored for a few years and seeing daylight for the first time in a while today (28 April 2019). Selling off a IC 706 MKI and a MKII (not the G model) and hopefully will have the FT-One back on the bench very soon.

O yes awesome , one of the 3 radios that I have on my try to get list , FT-107M, FT-990 and FT-ONE, try to get them in good condition is very hard.

is there a way to replace the lighting in the meters? Somehow, the lights are out, and I do not ,now if they can be replaced. there meters are working perfectly and there is voltage to the wires to the mercer lights. thanks

I bought one recently in excellent condition. The serial number at the back has it's first and maybe second numbers worn off somehow, maybe from disconnectiong the antenna often. Does anyone know if the serial number can also be found inside the unit?

I have a FT 102 and it has the serial number inside on the main chassis, seen on the right hand side with lower case cover removed. Unfortunately the production year and month letters/numbers are not included.
