I own a Yaesu FT-840 which was very easy to jailbreak without removing or jumping any components. When I ordered my Yaesu DX-10, I had HRO do it so as not to void the warranty. Gigaparts will do the MARS mod, but DX Engineering will not. If you do it yourself and your rig is still in warranty, it may void it if you have to return it for service.

What's excellent about this radio is it comes with large wiring/pcb schematics and logic diagrams. It's repairable and is excellent example how to do things. Those shitty companies like Apple, Samsung, John Deere, AGCO etc should really look into mirror

I remember it can be done from menu option. When powering up need to hold some button from upper row. Don't remember exactly. Was thinking 0 ohm resistor is for TX but for RX menu option is enough

@@HamTechRadioScannerDrones I have pdf file from yaesu. There are 2 parts. 1: To enable the 70 MHz (4m) set to region C2 and part 2: to enable 70MHz 4m band. File name is yaesu-ft-dx101-4-meter-70-mhz-instelling-classic.pdf There are key combinations and need to enter digits touching screen
