Do this to a ssb signal when DNR is on, that emphasizes the higher tones and the voice becomes so much clearer.

This is great. I can see where you could notch out a strong adjacent, perhaps overlapping signal, and the use the Coutour to boost the remnant of a target signal - coupled with the DNR you demoed in the last vid, this receiver looks very capable. I live in a high noise environment and I'm looking forward to seeing what the FTDX3000 can do for my situation. I'm transitioning from my first rig, a venerable FT-840 (which I live the bones of and will never part with). I just switched on the FTDX3000 last night for half an hour in order to start familiarising myself with it. I think this will take some time - so your vids are a great way to help that process. 73 EI9HAB

Hi Ralph The ftdx3000 is great for every day QSOs and weak signals. The scope function is not good as it only will show strong stations. The buttons do not have back lights. If you can afford the ftdx101 that is the ultimate radio that ticks all the boxes for me. You can run an sdr off socket on the back of the radio. My favourite band that I use the DNR is for listening to long QSOs on 80m.
