An excellent rendition of a great song. I particularly liked the good lady’s voice blending. Lots of singers,try this song , but spoil it with their pace. Some too fast, some too slow. Greetings from Ireland.

コロナの中、ありがとうございます。原題だけは、字を見て何とか意味が分かりますが、歌の詞がほとんど分からないのが残念。

@@Skeloperch さん、ありがとうございます。英語が非力なので、母語にしている人の実感は、日本ならこれが近いという感情が知りたい。この題を命令形で、あんな残酷な時代は、もう二度と来るな！と訳した例もある。 Come again no は、Never come againと。命令に近い願い、叶わぬ願望。仮定法過去か？

@@nasidoori その通りです。この曲のニュアンスは、今現在辛い思いをしている人たちに歌手が共感しているということです。この歌は、ペリー提督が日本に上陸したのと同じ年、1854年に作られたので、少し時代遅れの話し方を使っているのです。
