Hey Ritu! Just some suggestions for you both to make this transition slightly easy! 1) Explore AirBnB for houses. You can take a full house for some time and that can help you do your house search more leisurely. 2) Use Revolut to create a bank account. In my experience, it was easier to get that opened than using traditional banks like Barclays. 3) Look at places like Wembley Park & Canary Wharf if you want really modern apartments 😊 4) All the best for this journey! London is truly amazing and just takes some time to get used to.

If you take an apt which is walking distance from metro or the bus station you will not feel the handicap of not having a vehicle. that way you can go a little far away where rents are manageable.

Get well soon prashant. I had contracted with covid in last December during thanksgiving. I would suggest to have steam through nose 4 to 5 times in a day. Also take care especially on day 7 to 10 days of infection. Generally those 3 days are having worsened symptoms and then it starts going down. If you have tulsi leaves then chewing tulsi also help in covid. Buy oxygen meter immediately, I almost saved as I had oxygen meter at home. My oxygen got dropped badly on 7th day and I immediately got admitted in hospital. I can’t think if I would not have oxygen meter at that time.

Hey Ritu, just a small feedback. The choice to move from US to UK was a self choice and not forced upon. So everytime comparing the life in US and UK is just going to make you feel bad. Both the place has its own charm so would suggest you accept the way it comes and welcome this new life in UK. Every thing will be sorted out soon.We also did a big shift from India to USA 2021 with 11 year old daughter which was all of sudden. However things settled down now . It's been 3 months now in US and gradually we are moving in much better condition.God bless you both with divine healing and protection .

Get well soon, Prashant! Three of my four brothers got COVID. Two got it just before their vaccination appointments, and one got it after he was vaccinated. I went and got my booster shot right after my 3rd brother tested positive. So far so good, but I do live in South Florida. 😬 Hopefully you have been vaccinated so your symptoms shouldn’t be as bad. Some suggestions for you: 1. Use Rightmove or Zoopla for house hunt 2. You will need a 2 bhk as most people are working from home and you need another room for that 3. Go to outskirts of London zone 5-6 such as East Croydon, Illford you will get a 2bhk around 1500£ 4. You will pay 400£ pcm additional to rent as council tax and utilities so add it to your rent amount
