If you have a Bluetooth receiver, then yes. But there will probably be some latency

Not in the case of Bluetooth latency, which would only affect the headphones.

Thanks. You should explore the velocity layering settings. It's especially useful for the snare which allows for up to 4 layers and can really improve the realism of the sounds based on how hard you strike the head. I also use velocity to make my toms sound better. Just like acoustic tom when I strike hard the tone and reverb / decay change. Try it ....

It's definitely possible to make the 500 series sound way better than the stock sounds! I've done this using velocity layers on my toms, kick, and snare. It takes awhile to get everything set up, but it's worth it😃. However, in my opinion, the ATV module is a lot more realistic, especially for it's cymbal sounds. So I am planning to purchase an ATV AD5 module, and use it with my Yahama pads

Yes it’s possible. If I remember correctly, it has something to do with velocity layers

I beg you for help, sir about dtx 502 module : 1. Can each 3zone section of the ride have its volume adjusted? I have a problem with each volume of the part being unbalanced, for example in the ride bell section that is too small. 2. Can the 3zone part of the ride, the sound of each zone be change? for example zone1 I put the bell sound, Zone2 I put the Ride sound, Zone3 I make crash sound? How?

Hey man! I heard that 1.30 FW Update for the module can have 4 layers on the snare pad.. What about this??? How I can access to the other 2 layers? Thanks for your videos... I owned a Yamaha DTX532k and I so glad with it. Greetings from Cuba

That is correct! When setting the layer options for your snare, instead of picking stack, scroll to the right until you see the 4 layer options. I'm not sure how to setup all 4 layers, but hopefully you can figure it out.

Hi Frank, nice to be back with you. Can you help me, my snare pad and kick drum sound problematic. When I hit it, it sounded like a distant sound and echoed like inside a cave. But for another pad sounds normal. I have reset the module but the problem is not solved. Have you ever experienced it? Help me...

Actually I never did have that issue. It sounds like too much reverb. Hopefully you’ve been able to find a solution

Hey! Um I need help withe HEARING my drums because every time I turn them on I can’t hear them and I don’t know if I need another cable because I have everything plugged in

Try checking the master volume on the module. And check the volume levels on all your pad voices.

@@FranksDrumCave I did that and the volume levels are pretty high and when I play them they’re loud but when I change the kit to for example: Hard Rock I don’t hear a change in the drums

Layer the “birch custom” and “Vintage hard rock off” it sounds amazing. Just adjust the tuning and decay.

Hey man, I’ve reset the default settings messed with detention in calibration of the high hat but I have not been able to get this high hat to trigger well. Sometimes when I hold it completely down it won’t stay shut other town when I do the open sound it won’t open fast enough it’s just failing miserably.

I ended up using a go drum hi hat controller on a standard hi hat stand. Works much better. I’ll link some pictures and video of it in action, after I get home from work

I'm not sure on that actually. If you already have a regular cable, there's no harm in trying it out.

Divergent Drums. I just tried it and it works when I use my Yamaha pads on my 502 module only. I have a set of Simmons sd1000 drums and cymbals. When I try to use those on a splitter with my 502 module I can barely hear them. I tried messing with the trigger settings but can't figure it out. Any advice?

Try playing with the velocity curve settings. Also try the MISC 1-4 settings for your Simmons pads

Divergent Drums. I figured out the problem. The first splitter I opened and tried ended up being defective and only the ring side worked. So I'll be taking that one back to guitar center. I did buy four total though and ordered three more. I have it set up so I added a second floor tom, a second crash and two effects cymbals. When I get my other splitters I can do even more. It's nice not having to use two modules for once. I just started playing drums again about four months ago and wanted something similar to the two up and to down set up I use to play. Thanks for your help.

Cool, but it’s weird. I mean, the module has no USB port or SD card port, it has only a “USB to host” port but you can’t use a pendrive there, the only way I think is connecting the module to the PC using the “USB to host” port, or the MIDI cable. Youre welcome! You need to get the MusicSoft Downloader program from Yahama. That's used for kit backup, and for adding samples to your 502 module

The touch app does the same things as the module, but with the added benefit of a full color touch screen

DTX502 Touch app is discontinued. Be carefull buyers. Yamaha throw away the app for this module. I bought this module 2 years ago now a basic feature lost. be aware.
