When I was a kid in the federal territory that Lagos used to be, the law and the police were sacrosanct. Then the "Nigerians" flooded the land during the civil war and the corrupted feudalistic Northerners took over. Others from other parts of the country came in as well, cutting corners with derisions and disdain for normal and the proper ways of doing things were jettisoned.

As a lawyer I can tell you for free to make your counts on your charge sheet as short as possible and go for the simplest offense therein because you have to prove beyond reasonable doubt each of those offenses. It’s unreasonable why EFCC’s charges are as long as one’s arms. They know very well they can never get a conviction on those charges.
