🙂 Yaks are the male members of the cattle and females are called Dri. Whereas Dzo(male) and Dzomo(female) are hybrids of yak and cow. So when someone says milk of yak, changpa gets confused. Anyway beautiful video of a beautiful place and beautiful people. Thank you for sharing. 🙏🙏

No offence but in the entire video you kept mentioning yak but haven't noticed a single yak among the herd. Basically you are in the stot area (panzi la side of zanskar) where yak is not very common as compare to lungnak (shinkula side of zanskar)

I guess I have mentioned a couple of times in the video that yaks were gone for grazing up in the mountains at that time and there were only the the little or newborn yaks there that I have shown.
