Nice informative video. If all you need is replacement bungee cord (shock cord), Paracord Planet has 25' of 1/4" black for $11 with free shipping. They also have a variety of colors for 50 cents more. The YakGear black is $15 (for 18') with an additional $4 for shipping unless you purchase > $30. Hope this helps someone.

Walt Edwards great tip. For some things like just bungee it may make sense to look at other stores. What I find really nice about YakGear is their kits have great detailed instructions and include everything you need in one kit. That can be nice for folks unfamiliar with DIY and rigging kayaks. The staff at YakGear have excellent customer service. Often I get the owner, Bill, when I call. The staff at YakGear are avid kayakers and anglers. Paracord planet I have used to get custom bungee colors to match certain kayaks. I still get most of my hardware from YakGear and other U.S based kayak gear stores.

Curious why you didn't turn the rigging loops 90 degrees. It would be less stress on the cording. No?

Outdoorlife 04 I would love to, but since I buy a lot of my kayaks i needed to sell it to fund more kayaks and filming trips. My channel operates mostly on viewer and Patreon support. Purchases through my links generate a small revenue stream for purchasing kayaks and gear to review. I rarely get paid by brands. Sometimes I get free products, but some brands are hard to work with at getting even discounts. I paid full price on the Hobie TI and so having $6800+ tied up into one kayak made it really hard for me to fund other videos and kayak purchases. I tried to negotiate a deal with Hobie, but had no luck. That kayak tapped me out financially. It was also a bit hard to get out a lot due to it’s size. Might do some more Windrider videos though. My friend owns several and asks me to join him. They are a similar trimaran. Windriders have a sail with a boom and bit beefier akas/amas, but similar overall size.

I understand but still it seems like someone would be recording videos on them but I haven’t found any that are recent and I just wish there were more recent videos on them

Outdoorlife 04 if you are contemplating purchasing one and have specific questions or concerns reach out to me via website KayakDIY.com Would happily discuss them. I will have some other unique kayak sailing content coming up this year. I even plan to add a certain high performance sail to one of my kayaks.
