Yakusoku - THE iDOLM@STER [Full version piano cover]

๊Update : due to my currently extremely busy university studies, the creation of the piano sheet will be on hiatus for now...extremely sorry for that everyone ;-;
Hello everyone, it has been awhile, Thank you so much for 500 subscribers ! I've once again created another full version arrangement. This time, it's Yakusoku, or "Promise" , The song that me and my 2 best friends, TK and PianoDevil, hold a special place in our memories.

• THE iDOLM@STER - Yakus...
First of, as always, allow me to update you guys of where I've been in the past month or so. And I'm pretty sure it's an easy thing to guess at this point, and that is the never ending cycle of exam and intensive medical study.
The past month or so has been one of the busiest and most energy consuming month this year yet, and I'm about to enter the most difficult and tiring block this year (for those of you who don't know, med school, at least in the place that I study, categorized the content into "block" with each block has different focus on each system) I've pretty much been going to college at 8AM and back home at 10 PM literally everyday for the past month, with the time anywhere from 6-9 hours of study (this includes self-studying and revision) leaving my free time pretty much non-existent, leaving me physically and emotionally exhausted. This arrangement was created during this time period of mine, I want to showcase my story and struggle of oneself to keep reaching of one's dream, and in my case, it's to keep pursuing both medicine and piano. Thus,I managed to arrange this full version using the free time I had throughout the month of September. You could say that this piece was created in one of the most chaotic and studious time of my life.
This song holds the special place in my heart, as it is the song theme on promise. I've met many amazing people throughout the year through my channel, this community by far is one of the best thing that could have happened in my life, as I've met many like-minded individual, learning many new things, and forming many great friendship over time. I wouldn't be here without this community. This song highlights my "promise" I made in this community, the promise to keep going, to never give up, to improving and growing and ultimately contribute new things into the community. I would never reach this point without the immense support I've gotten through out the year, and I truly thank you :)
As for the arrangement, since it was made based on a theme of promise, I'm experimenting with multi-voicing quite a bit, whether it would be a (pseudo) fugue, simultaneous melody, 3-part writing. I've been studying Brahms quite a bit, thus, this piece was written based on his piece. Other than that, I tried to develop my own "atmospheric style" further by using chords and arpeggio, while trying to tone down the difficulty of the piece. In the end, I hope you guys will enjoy it :)

To be honest, that was a nice piano cover. The pianist really did put his heart and soul into it, so it comes as no surprise that the cover resonated with me. I thank everyone involved in the production of this cover. Chihaya Kisaragi's "Yakusoku" is simply a beautiful masterpiece to behold, and I'm sure that both the song and its singer has found a special place in the hearts of many fans... including yours truly. This is a damn good recommendation brother 🤙🏽. I noticed there are two with the same name and I couldn't figure out which is better cause they're both so good 😭. The older one is a nice duet and has some rich melodies, and this one has the effect of taking a deep breath and releasing all of it at 2:00 Masterful my friend :-')

As you said, this song does have a special place in my heart. I can totally relate to what you are going through, and I am sure as we all have those problems, we can all find ways to solve them. . But damn, this arrangement is probably the most humble arrangement I have seen in a long time. Instead of focusing on techniques, music was fully expressed. Reminds me of some Debussy pieces , actually. When the focus is musicality instead of techniques, the whole song can become very natural, and very impressive in a different way. I believe this is one of the few arrangements out there that was arranged solely to celebrate the value of the music, instead of changing it. Really nice work. I hope I can learn many things from this arrangement. . Keep up the good work man! Im am sure you can get through all the hardships.

2:06 made me want to cry already and the vid wasn't even half way through yet. One of my fav pieces from Idolmaster. Absolutely beautiful.Almost 8 mins of emotional playing wow is this good. I think you really succeeded in getting that "atmospheric feel". 5:10 that key change was soooooooo freaking damn awesome. That chord at 5:26 hit me hard. It sounded really good. That part after the key change is prob my favorite. It's so emotional and I can feel everything you went through these past few months. This was really great. Easily my favorite work from you. I clicked so fast on that notification... James Chou arrangement made me love that song, so I was extremely curious to hear your version of it... and it's fucking brilliant. So much texture in your playing, I really like the progression of the playing throughout the arrangement: very mellow and simple at the beginning, and then the 2d verse strikes! Really nice job m8, you're always improving! Your arrangement are pretty rare yet excellent!

2:41 THIS IS A LOVELY ARPEGGIO FOR THE LEFT HAND, IT'S SO LOVELY AND ISN'T THE STEREOTYPICAL ONE THAT ALMOST EVERY ANIME PIANIST (as of late) IS UTILIZING. THIS ENTIRE SECTION UP TO 3:38 WAS DONE PERFECTLY IN MY BOOK. Many kudos to you boi. 4:04-4:09 Was splendid. Key change was great, though I think it could have been implemented a bit better where, instead of the glissando bass building up, you had a more textural lead into the key change. It's not that what you did wasn't bad, I just believe you could have done something much more wonderful. I mentioned the mixing/mastering process and the reason why it's essential is that some piano VSTs, no matter how good they are will end up having some sort of muddy sound to it that can be patched up- almost entirely- but that requires a lot of knowing your audio production. Additionally, I think that run at 5:53-5:55 should have had another one immediately after it, but that's just my arrangement/musician's taste. All-in-all, your arrangements are so very well made. It's great and it makes me wonder how you're not getting the exposure you definitely deserve. Phenomenally done. Keep it up, buddy. P.S. Posted on my other acc, had to redo it.

Since your hard practicing with Animenz pieces, and all of that, Your fuuka ED2 and this , are true masterpieces. You're definitely expressing the music like it must be done, and I'm really happy to hear such beautiful music. Good luck with your studies too, and keep doing the awesome music :D Everytime I'm hearing a new song, a new cover with all these details, the real expression, real feels, it helps me to feel better because the music is my only reason to live. Your cover incarnates the respect of the music, and that's the only thing I'm trying to find everywhere. While it seems that your Fuuka ED2 seems a bit more harder in terms of technicality, this seems to have a bit more emotional and dynamic refinement. Awesome work!

im a bit late with the comment but better later as never xD serious man this is so impressive that you took so much time to create a really nice hard and beautiful arrangement, i got all the way goose bumps 1:28 i like how you waited and slowed it down and then played soft and slow, it gave a lot of feels and then slowly you build it a bit up. 2:05 that was cool i really like those transition into the next section, 2:40 i damn i fucking love that part that 3rd hand technique fits so good, 3:20 i love how you build up this part to the chorus this was so good the left hand at the chorus reminds me a bit of mine brave shine chorus lololol also 4:44 i love when ppl add own parts into that and its so hard to come up with them sounds really cool there, i wish i had these ideas xD 5:14 too much feels rip the lefthand runs there were pretty cool, the huge run at 6:14 also really nice after that, you played it again softly it means soo much if ppl play soft its really beautiful, i really love how you ended the arrangement :3 over all i can say really nice ideas really cool that you did, it is so long so different and that is cool, also really good dynamic control and i really enjoyed youre arrangement
