make no mistake, if places were reversed Russians would also be yakutified. and no one is actively trying to "destroy" Yakut culture. nothing personal, just that multicultural societies naturally don't really work out. I mean, you're Ukrainian, your government is an aspiring ethnostate, you should understand Russia very well in that sense.

Idk why, but calling ethnic groups from northern Asia Siberians irks me. Just call them what they are: Asians. They experience the same racism and hate that East Asians experience, yet for some reason we constantly erase North Asians.
@kagar34652 жыл бұрын
It's a political thing. Like Primorsky is also called Siberia but then Heilong Jiang is more northern in latitude than Primorsky and is closer to actual Siberia. Primorsky is also more Eastern than China. Then why don't they call northern Hans and Manchu who by the way came from the South Siberian peoples. Especially the Manchu since not so long ago they were called the Jurchens. They were also nomadic people before they invaded China and got assimilated. Real Siberia is in the Central Siberian Highlands where the river Yenesei runs through it that is where the Sibir Khanate historically was. Which is why they often refer to Russian East Asian and North Asian territories as "Russian Far East".
@k1r4z.2 жыл бұрын
Lmao what are you okay? They are called siberia because that region is SIBERİA. And its turkic siberians that call that region siberia, and they call themselves Siberians. Ur reasoning is funny, they might be similar to east asians but they arent same. The racism part is a whole another topic, calling them siberians isnt even racist, because the word siberia originated from turkic languages, therefore they called themselves siberians and its none of your business
@stvk992 жыл бұрын
might as well call them all Chinese then

Yakuts are very much generically related to Indigenous Alaskans and Native Americans. Which means Indigenous Americans are largely of Proto-Turkic origin.
@natanaeloliveira3662 жыл бұрын
I'm quite sure that's not correct. The Turkic migration to these parts of Siberia is more recent than the migration of proto Siberians to América. So sure they are somewhat related to native Americans but that comes from their proto Siberian side, not the Turkic one.
@ТарасПидарчук2 жыл бұрын
Don't mess it up. Genetics and language is not always the same, you can take a look at Yakut people and turkmens, for example, they are completely different, and not only their phenotype, but also the culture. And still theirs languages are relative, however, not their genetics
@umashi44372 жыл бұрын
@@ТарасПидарчук Their genetics either, wtf are you saying (they share a common Turkic gene pool)
@AsylumDaemon2 жыл бұрын
Why every person on the Internet wants to associate a random Turkic ethnic group’s genetics to another unrelated ethnic group?
