i’m going to live in Sapporo when I’m done with school in 2 years. Before watching this video i didn’t know Sapporo was in yakuza 5 because y5 is the only game in the series i heavenly played yet (I am completing y4 remastered first). So now because i know I’m going to live in Sapporo it will be even more fun playing yakuza 5. Thanks for this video

Ive been to kamurocho(kabukicho) and sotenbori(dotonbori) in real life but wasnt playing the game til recently. How i wish i could go back but this time ill definitley explore it the yakuza way🤣

When you're a game company and want to make a game based on a city, you either make it feel like it with some landmarks to show where you're at or you're gonna mimic most layouts but change it up as well and include most landmarks the same way they are IRL or you can just make a fictional city inspired by different IRL cities. Or go haywire and not only make the names similar but the city's layouts almost identical to IRL. I've messed around Los Angeles after playing GTA V and messed around Kabukicho and Dotonbori after playing Yakuza and most layouts feel very much alike. I'm impressed and not surprised as most of RGGS's staff probably walk around there every single day anyways

Awesome idea it was just what I was looking for, just finishing yakuza 5 and wondering where are these locations on Google earth
