Found you…I was searching KZbin for appliance info. and the algorithm put one of your videos in the feed. I am in Chicago suburbs. I like the straightforward no nonsense advice and info. you give out. My dilemma I have one of those island cooktops from the 80’s with not so great down draft and a separate small wall oven. Without a major remodel I am not sure how to get better venting without putting a big vent over the island. You mentioned in a previous video that downdraft venting is not good especially with the newer high btu stoves. I may have to take the stove out of the island put it against the wall with a proper overhead vent. Ugh! that is a can of worms, altering cabinets etc. I wish some really great downdraft vent existed. Ah now I see you mentioned similar info. on this video. Good to know about returning air I have never heard of that before.
