I have a 2002 montero sport here in the United States and it’s a shame people don’t see what you guys are doing and how capable these trucks really are, thanks for posting this awesome video.

Yeah they are a forgotten vehicle sometimes, until it drives around people on the track. Hahaha share the video as much as you like over there, and show what these beasts can do.

This is great! Just fitted 32inch tires and a 2 inch lift on my Chally! Can't wait to get out after watching this!

I have done Monkey Gum a few times and thought it was pretty easy - looks like the track has taken a hammering from the weather and maybe over use - certainly does not look easy anymore. Not a Mitsi person but your Challengers look pretty sorted and capable - nice vehicles.
@DestinationOffroad3 жыл бұрын
Monkey Gum itself isn't to bad. Getting there can be a hassle. Both these Challengers were built to suit Monkey Gum and cheers Mate.

Great video. Well done, very enjoyable. Yeah cicadas down here are crazy. They were 98 dB the other day just out of Kangaroo Valley and were peaking at 102dB😖😖 I might take the kids for a walk down through there next week.
@DestinationOffroad3 жыл бұрын
Yeah they are insane at the moment, so is the rain. Was going to go out camping with the kids but with this weather on the south coast I couldn't be bothered haha.

amazing! Excellent video, friends, one question...both Monteros have some type of modification? How to lift the chassis or reinforced suspension system to cross rivers, go through difficult roads?
@DestinationOffroad Жыл бұрын
Hi, Thank you for the comment. We have made individual videos for each Challenger with all the modifications we have done. They are modified specifically for our area and for what we do.
@maveriksalinas9152 Жыл бұрын
@@DestinationOffroad Do you have videos of the modifications you made to the Challenger? Could you suggest what changes I should make to my car ? I have the Montero Sport 4x4 , model 2002

Shame about the damage but looks like you guys had a top weekend. MG looks way different might be time for us to visit Yalwal, it's been too long 👍
@DestinationOffroad3 жыл бұрын
Yeah it was a shame, but my own stupid fault. Was a good weekend apart from the cicadas hahaha.

I have done Monkey Gum a couple of times and it is always a good challenge. I have not seen the first track you did to get to Monkey Gum though. What track was that?
@DestinationOffroad3 жыл бұрын
That's cool, and yeah always a fun challenge. That track is Mintbush fire trail, The track that takes you to the start of Monkey Gum, hahaha it has changed abit since the fires and floods.
@mick2312713 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that. Those creek crossings looked like a bit of fun.

Really nice video!, I thought Ryan's was a Diesel, because of the turbo intake in his hood, but from the sound obviously not. I wonder how a 2.8 Turbo diésel will perform out there. Keep it up!! Regards from Costa Rica
@DestinationOffroad3 жыл бұрын
Yeah no they never came out with a diesel in Australia. The 2.8TD wouldnt perform that well in the Challenger. The 3.2TD on the other hand haha, would be awesome to have. The scoop is for cooling as well as the look. Something different. i actually have one sitting in the garage waiting to go onto my original bonnet which will be resprayed.

Looks like an awesome area for a wheel 👌🏻great vid mate, shame about the damage but ya get that haha
@DestinationOffroad3 жыл бұрын
It is a awesome area. It was a lot better, If you watch Monkey Gum Madness and Nissan vs Mitsubishi Yalwal wheeling you will see the massive difference. Damage, yeah well you do get it. Nearly all the damage I have on the Challenger is from this track. All 5-6years of it.

@@DestinationOffroad What’s the width or your tire?
@DestinationOffroad3 жыл бұрын
@@albertbayot9874 My Blue Challenger has 32x11.5x15 tyres and Ryan's silver challenger has 285/75R16 but he had to body lift as well as suspension lift to fit them.

Great to see you back. oved the video as usual.Bummer about the door but it could have been worse. Keep up the good work. I took my Mrs out for her 1st track in our new Chally this arvo. Went through shallow bog hole likeI have 3 or 4 other times and now the front end has a knock when we go over bigger bumps. Got no idea what Ilve done but its fine on the road.
@DestinationOffroad3 жыл бұрын
Cheers bud, it is good to be back. And the door is a part of it haha. These things will happen. Yeah it can be hard to take the missus out. Some just dont like it hey. Yeah could have something either stuck somewhere, bolt loose somewhere or mud and water has dislodged something.

@@DestinationOffroad thanks mate. My mrs loves it. She's been sick over the last couple of weeks and hasn't been out testing. I've put in new front diff solenoid. It's going in tomorrow for a wheel alignment, wheel bearing tighten and new spare tyre the same size as the others

As Ryan said it was filmed 21-22nd of November. And yes Monkey Gum changes daily. The whole area changes daily as the access track is the most interesting part.
