Congrats on getting that the boat into working order. That is nearly the exact boat that I want to pursue obtaining for my skinny water pursuits with a casting platform on front and a poling platform on back. The poor Smokercraft has been forced into retirement as the bottom is full of pin holes and too thin to pursue repair for continued use in the the saltwater enviroment.

Need Hydroturf on your boat. Less noise, aluminum gets slippery when wet (as you probably know.)

My buddy has a business called delta decks he builds nice boat decks storage live wells etc. you can reach him by looking up first creek outfitters wynne Arkansas he will give good tips anyways. You need a bigger deck imo.

What size jack plate do you have?

I used a 6" manual jack plate. The transom height is 20" but the motor is a 25" shaft so I needed the extra length. If you use a 15" transom with a 20" motor shaft length your still going to have to add about a 4-6 inch of transom height. Hope that makes sense!
