I am glad the video is useful, personally, I think the preamps work very well. I tested dynamic and condenser microphones, as well as an instrument, the sound was very nice. Personally, I use 44kHz and 24bit when recording, even though the AG mixers support up to 192kHz. Greetings fly out from Europe!

No reviewer talks about the quality of the signal coming out of the headphone ports, the sound signature of the amp inside. Comparison with other DAC's in this regard. Wish someone would do that.

Well, most companies don't even publish the type of analog to digital converter used in there interfaces, but from my experience the cirrus logic chips are used a lot, if you are looking for a high quality DAC for your headphones Pro-Ject Audio makes some nice stuff ➜ amzn.to/2P5vJPZ

I have a Focusrite, but I am looking for a simple way to add vocal and guitar effects such as reverb, for acoustic singer/songwriting performances for internet purposes, including KZbin videos. This is why I am interested in this Yamaha mixer. I have a good Elvis mic and I have a good digital camera. How would you suggest I find a way to sync my recorded video with my recorded music? Do I need some video software to accomplish this, and do you have a recommendation for an inexpensive video software? Thanks in advance

Hey, help me please! What would be better scarlett 2i2 , steinberg ur22mk2 or yamaha c03 for recording acoustic guitar and voice(Mic that i'm going to buy is AKG C1000S)

The market leader is Focusrite since they seem to sell the most units. The AKG C1000S looks like a nice microphone by the way.

Since you are going to use a condenser mic it should be fairly sensitive. Best is trial and error, different mics, different behavior, different sound. If you get a chance try another one as well, or play around with a tube preamp. Greetings from Germany~

Yes, it's perfectly fine, you can control them separately as you can see there are two knobs: one for the monitors and one for the headphones.

I was looking at mixers a while back but I put that on hold.... so many choices & the Yamaha Group is pretty well dome in a lot of different disciplines. THey seem to try & compete in everything from Electronics to Motorcycles & beyond....... I had a really good 12String Acoustic back in the day. I'm still digging thru all your stuff here & I bet you have more hidden out there? peace

Thank you for your very helpful demo. I have bought the AG03. I want to record myself playing a bass trombone accompanied by a Yamaha electronic piano (Clavinova) which supports audio connections. I have a Windows tablet and a Blue XLR microphone. What else do I need? I have no experience recording.

I mostly use Apple Mac, I guess you would need to connect the mixer to your Windows tablet and get some sort of recording software.

Great video. What setup (mic + audio interface) would you recommend for KZbin/live stream voice-over?
@ReviewTechTV6 жыл бұрын
If for example you want to make KZbin videos with your Canon camera, or other DSLR, you will need a lavalier mic. It really depends, on the one hand for many people a simple USB microphone works just fine, this also has the added benefit of being very portable. On the other hand, having a dedicated audio interface, and separate microphone can produce very nice results. Did you have a chance to look at my other videos? Because I have playlist call “audio equipment” on my channel page!
@ramicollo6 жыл бұрын
@@ReviewTechTV I'll check it out. Something that's gives a full, radio-like voice would be cool. I've heard different microphones complement different voice types, is that true?
@ReviewTechTV6 жыл бұрын
Get the "Universal Audio Apollo Twin”, make sure you get the right model, because you will need the correct plugin bundle, then copy this guys signal chain ➜ kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqa6qZqoh8ufarc Try different XLR mics, such as the "Shure SM7B” or even the iconic “Electro-Voice RE20”, yes the microphone can have quite the effect, but so those the signal processing, please refer to the video example above. Also note that voice professionals, usually have special training, so besides looking at equipment, it can also make sense to do voice training, improving resonance, clarity and projection of of your voice. Personally I can recommend the audio book “The Sound of Your Voice by Carol Fleming”. If you combine everything, you will have a true radio voice.

Hi, nice vid/tutorial. Could you tell me if the output to the monitors is balanced? Thank you.
@BRIGImusic4 жыл бұрын
The monitor outs support both balanced and unbalanced cables actually. My monitors support both balanced and unbalanced inputs, but I have tested it and the balanced is much better quality (no noise/interference whatsoever), whereas with the unbalanced cables it wasn't as good.

Ребята подскажите!Когда я в стриме с телефоном,зрители пишут что звук гитары совсем слабый!Хотя мне через наушники слышно очень четко
@ReviewTechTV7 ай бұрын

According to Yamaha the AG-03 has a feature called 1-touch compression and EQ.
@ReviewTechTV Жыл бұрын
However you will need to play with the settings in the software and see if it yields the desired results.

When recording vocals some EQ and compression is usually needed, and depending on the microphone and voice the required settings may differ.

How do I record this is because I am not getting that quality when I am recording
@ReviewTechTV Жыл бұрын
It depends on your setup, for example a condenser mic is more sensitive and tends to pick up room noise, while dynamic microphones needs more gain but is more focused.
@ReviewTechTV Жыл бұрын
Basically the sound quality depends on the following: 1. microphone type (dynamic/condenser) 2. proximity to the sound source (close/mid/far) 3. room acoustic (treated/non treated, quite/noisy) 4. setting the correct level 5. processing, compressor or EQ

How did you get the echo effect on your recording? I have had the AG03 for maybe about a week now and I have only had time to test it out for a few hours here and there. But I don't get the echo effect on my recorded material when I press the Effect button. Let me clarify: I hear the effect in my monitor output signal to my headphones. But when I then go back and listen to my recording in Audacity it's just the plain audio with no echo effect. Am I missing something obvious here or is it really supposed to be like this? What's the point of having an effect button which I can hear "live" in my monitor signal to my headphones but then it doesn't actually get added to my recorded material when I listen to it afterwards?
