Yamaha B-2X Adjustments & Performance

I have one of these B-2X and I use it with my 1976 Klipsch LaScala type AA. I prefer it to my 1975 Marantz 1200B which is amazing also. I bought all new as I did with my Yamaha C2a. The LaScala are all revealing with Amplifiers, the Phase linear 700 series II was bought for doing live band gigs with the LaScala and the LaScala showed up the differences in no uncertain terms. To be polite I did not have the Phase Linear 700 series II for very long at all. I still have the 1200B the C2a and the B-2X. The B-2X is something else is a masterpiece. I use the B-2X everyday and power up the C2a and 1200B everyday. I bought a pair of Pass Labs X350.5 for my Jubilee and I expect they will be as wonderful as the B-2X

I have this amp and have followed this procedure. The left channel runs about 35 degrees warmer than the right. 135*F vs. 100*F The DC bias and offsets look good. What could be causing this? Do you know if thermal heat sink paste is being used for the transfer of heat to the heat sinks?

It is difficult to diagnose equipment over the chat. Your unit needs to go to a technician before it blows up. I do not work on non-vfet gear for other folks, but I know some very capable technicians that could take on the service of your unit. Where are you located?
