Yamaha Banshee test run day

First time out with my new Contour and Banshee. My bike has T-5s, geared, coolhead, 19cc domes, V force 3 reeds, and stock porting, +4 rear swing arm, and a +2 rear axle. The red and while bike is all stock except paul turner mid range pipes, and a +4 swing arm and +2 rear axle.

+Cj Brault I'm goi g to be riding a 200cc Polaris phonox it's has a problem but it works really well on going to be riding that on the trails and in the ward a 1999 Polaris sportsmen 500 I love the trails o need to get my license thought as I just turned 12 and you need one to ride and this late it's hard to find a class...

Its a place on the Oregon coast called Sand Lake. Its not a super large area, but its close to home for me. Makes a nice day trip. :)

For woods riding, probably not the best option. But for sand nothing compares to a banshee imop. Get the bike in 3rd gear, and it will come out of just about anywhere! I'm not a 4 stroke hater, just bang for your buck they are hard to beat on the sand.

It is alot of fun! I use to have a 87 LT500 that I rode on the dunes. I had to sell it after tearing up my ankle up. Sucks getting old. :D

Thats something that I forgot to add in the description. It already had a matoon timing plate running +4, but stock porting. The Bike is currently at Redline racing getting something that will let me keep up with a cub motor. Should be fun.

Raptors are awesome quads too, no doubt about it. I have no idea on what you have to do to a 700, but all I do to my wifes bike and my 10 mill super cub is change the oil, check chain tension, clean the filters occasionally, and throw a set of plugs once a year at it.

did u get your banshee back from redline yet? just had cam build my motor 4mill shaved head bored 20 over aggressive dune port pushing 78 hp was spendy but well worth it cam knows how to build banshees used to burn a few cans of race gas a day now 5 gallons lasts almost all weekend riding wide open

Yeah I did. Its a 7mm stock cylinder. It put down 90hp. I wanted something that didn't have the "hit" a cub motor has, but near the power. It runs awesome. Cam is hands down the best!

I have basically the exact same bike! 4 mil with the porting done by Cameron @ redline. It has about 185 psi in both cylinders. I'm gonna run 20% alky. What kinda numbers do you think it'll put out?

They are quick ,but not a good wheeler for moto cross type racing due to the long length and its a lil to low for the race track or moto cross race tracks ,,,that being said I see them lose alot on moto cross type tracks ,but as far as a straight drag track is where they are more fit for. I have watched them lose time & time again to the shorter wheel base racing quads on the moto cross tracks ,but for the straight/dirt drag tracks they have proven to be more of a threat

MrBonami2 Truth of the matter is, a hauler style paddle tire will send you in a straight line if you hit the throttle. Sand shark or other "V" style paddles you can get the back end to come around though. Beach sand and dirt are completely different.
